New Shades Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue + Special Edition Joues Contraste

September 15, 2020

New Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Gloss and Joues Contraste Powder Blushes

I have a look at two different product launches from Chanel! They recently added eight new shades of the Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue and also three re-promoted blushes in special edition packaging to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Joues Contraste Powder Blush.

Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue

Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue New SHADES Beauty Look Book

The Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Gloss is a long-wear full coverage liquid lip color with a high shine top coat. These are double ended tubes with two sides. One has the lipstick with a sponge tip wand applicator, the other has a shiny gloss with a brush tip. Out of all the long-wear lip products I’ve tried this is one of the longest lasting formulas. The color does not budge once it sets, but you will need to reapply the top coat as needed.

I’ve tried a few of these in the past and really love the formula. It’s best to apply on a clean lip. You can apply liner first if you prefer, but I usually just apply straight out of the tube. New shades include:

  • 164 Chic Beige is an ultra pale light beige cream
  • 166 Timeless Beige is a perfect neutral beige
  • 172 Light Mauve is a light blue-based mauve pink
  • 174 Endless Pink is a medium warm pink
  • 176 Burning Red is a bright bold classic red
  • 180 Passionate Red is a deeper bold red
  • 182 Light Brown is a taupe brown
  • 184 Intense Brown is a dark cool-toned brown plum with a hint of shimmer

Swatches below alongside a few of my other favorites (you can see other ones on the face in this post here, Intense Nude and Intense Caramel are still my favorites).

New Chanel Le Rouge Ultra Duo Tenue Gloss swatches

Quality and pigment is excellent for me. The only ones that didn’t work for me were just because the colors didn’t suit my coloring. Chic Beige is too pale for my complexion and Intense Brown is too deep/cool toned. Out of the new colors I think Timeless Beige is the best easy to wear everyday color. Beige can be hard to pull off as many are too pale, too yellow or too flat. Timeless Beige is perfect! I also love Endless Pink for a pretty warmer brighter but still  neutral pink shade. I think the reds are phenomenal too.

Chanel 40th Anniversary Joues Contraste

Chanel 40th Anniversary Joues Contraste Blushes

This year marks an anniversary milestone for the Joues Contraste Powder Blush. They launched classic colors in a special limited-edition compact with a burgundy colored CC logo instead of the white. Colors are existing shades so if you already own them I don’t think there is a need to repurchase unless you are a Chanel collector and love the packaging. I do believe that different countries featured different colors in this launch. The US colors include:

  • 02 Rose Bronze a soft shimmery pink with an iridescent sheen (this color was one of my first Chanel splurges when I started getting into makeup!)
  • 260 Alezane a classic beige with a hint of gold shimmer
  • 320 Rouge Profond is a classic flushed red

Chanel 40th Anniversary Joues Contraste Blushes Rose Bronze, Alezane and Rouge Profond swatches

All three have that classic soft texture all Chanel blushes have. I do think the formula and color payoff has improved over the years and these have very good pigment while still having a natural look.

Makeup Looks

Looks wearing 6 of the 8 new lip colors and all 3 blushes below. Full beauty breakdown wearing:

Most of the looks have the gloss top coat on top of the liquid lip color.

Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Gloss Timeless Beige

Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Gloss 172 Light Mauve

Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Gloss 174 Endless Pink

Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Gloss 176 Burning Red

Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Gloss 180 Passionate Red

Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Gloss 182 Light Brown

New Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue Gloss and Joues Contraste Powder Blushes

Overall I think Chanel launched some beautiful classic colors that you can wear on an everyday basis. I want to try a few more shades of the Le Rouge Duo Gloss. I used to love and own Darling Pink and think I may repurchase it. A number of you have mentioned you loved Intense Rosewood so I will probably give that one a try as well.

I think the three repromoted blushes perform well. They have a soft but buildable texture that is easy to wear. All three show up on my medium tan skin. If you’ve used Chanel for a long time you know that their blushes have been sheerer in the past – I do think the formula has improved over the years.

You can find the new Chanel launches online at Chanel.com now.

Have you tried these yet? What did you think?

Hourglass New Launches Sublime Flush, At Night, Unlocked Extensions Mascara

Hourglass launched a few new things recently and I have a new Hourglass haul roundup featuring products for eyes, lips and cheeks. Everything is available at Sephora and Hourglass Cosmetics. In today’s roundup:

Ambient Lighting Infinity Powder

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Infinity Powder Review

The latest addition to the Ambient Lighting Powder line is the new Ambient Lighting Infinity Powder. This has a mix of two Ambient Lighting Powders and a Strobe Highlighter in one swirled compact. I wasn’t exactly sure what this was intended for – is it a highlighter? Setting powder? Blurring powder? On my medium tan skin I found it to be a good finishing powder to use after my foundation and regular powder. It acts like a soft glow powder to add some radiance all over.

Color is sheer – it looks like a beige yellow with some pink swirls in the compact. On the skin I think your mileage will vary depending on skin tone but for me it’s sheer and subtle enough to use all over the face. The effect is subtle but still noticeable on my skin. I don’t think it’s different enough from the Diffused or Dim Light to justify owning but I do like how it looks on the skin.

I’ve read a few people said this made their skin look dry. This was not the case at all for me. However I do think some shimmer powders can emphasize dry patches or lines if the color is either too light or too matchy. Sometimes pale pink or pale champagne highlighters look terrible on my medium skin because the shimmer emphasizes lines.

Product is sheer so this will look different on you depending on your skin tone and undertone. Swatch comparisons below for reference:

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Infinity Powder swatches

Ambient Lighting Blushes

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes in Sublime Flush and At Night

There are two new Ambient Lighting Blushes in Sublime Flush which is a soft pink shimmer (this was in Ghost 2019 palette) and At Night which is a brick red mixed with pink champagne. Both are really lovely! Pigment is medium but easy to build or sheer out. On me lasting power is very good – they stay put all day. Swatch comparisons to a few other blushes, they look really similar on my arm but they definitely look different on the face:

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush swatches

Sublime Flush is not quite as deep or flushed on my medium tan skin but definitely shows up. Since I’m a bit darker than normal it is almost light a highlighter.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Sublime Flush

Below wearing the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Sublime Flush with the No. 28 Lip Oil in Adorn. Beauty breakdown:

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Sublime Flush and Lip Oil Adorn

At Night is a really pretty soft almost diffused brick red on the skin. It’s very wearable and for me one of the more unique colors. I think this is the perfect transition to fall. It’s not too dark or dramatic.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in At Night

Below wearing the At Night Blush with At Night Lip Oil

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush and Lip Oil in At Night

No 28 Lip Treatment Oil

Hourglass No 28 Lip Oil in At Night

I’ve been a huge fan of the No 28 Lip Treatment Oils even though I think they are crazy expensive. At Night is a medium-sheer brick red with blue tones on my skin. I believe it was a limited-edition release a while ago but it slipped my radar until now. The color itself will fade within a few hours but since it’s an oil it fades evenly and nicely so you don’t have that dark ring around the edges. This is a nice red option that isn’t too bright or deep – it’s the perfect red for those who feel like they can’t pull off reds. It’s what I had hoped the Victoria Beckham Bitten Lip Tint would be (which turned purple on my lips).

Swatched next the other Lip Oils I have and a few shades I thought might be similar including the new Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Bath in Walk of Shame and Pat McGrath LUST Gloss in Flesh 6 (swatched here).

Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara

Hourglass Unlocked Extensions Mascara Review

Mascara is a category I just don’t get excited about. I feel like most of them are hype but in all fairness I have wimpy lashes which will rarely holds the curl and since they are very straight it often looks like I don’t have any. The Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara is a tubing mascara which I found ok for a tubing formula. It takes 2-3 uses to get it going for me. I found it did lengthen and added nice volume but it had zero holding power for the curl and it made my lashes straighten out. I prefer the Caution Extreme formula from Hourglass, but out of all the new formulas that have launched this year I feel like the best ones are the new Pat McGrath Dark Star and Kosas Big Clean. A lot of you have mentioned you love the Ilia Limitless Lash which I did try and like the look of, but think I’m allergic to (my eyes got terribly itchy with this one).

Bottom line I think it’s ok. Didn’t work for me but most formulas don’t. If your lashes can hold the curl and you don’t mind tubing mascaras then I do think it’s worth a try.

Voyeur Waterproof Liquid Liner

Hourglass Liquid Eyeliner

The Hourglass Voyeur Waterproof Liquid Liner isn’t a new launch but it’s been on my radar for some time. I had high hopes as I love their 1.5 MM Mechanical Gel Liner. My feelings are mixed – it does give a super deep glossy black finish and is indeed waterproof on me. Cons for me are the dry time isn’t quick so it smudges if I blink without letting it dry. Once it sets it does stay put. The other downside for me is the brush. It’s like a felt tip which is very delicate and after one use already looks like it will wear down. Since the applicator is kinda essential I don’t think I will be repurchasing. The Tom Ford Eye Defining Liquid Liner Pen and Cle de Peau Intensifying Liquid Eyeliner are far superior and 100% worth the splurge.

Hourglass Haul Picks

I think there are some winners with the new launches! I really love the look of the At Night blush and lip oil. Sublime Flush is a pretty pink but still a little light for me unless I pack it on. The Infinity Powder ended up working for my complexion but I don’t think it’s unique enough to get super excited about.

You can find the Hourglass launches now at Sephora and Hourglass Cosmetics. Have you checked anything out yet? What did you think?

Chanel Fall-Winter 2020 Collection Candeur Et Experience

August 28, 2020

Chanel Fall-Winter 2020 Collection Review and Swatches

The Chanel Fall-Winter 2020 Collection has arrived with a mix of pinks and reds for the upcoming fall season. You can find everything now online at Chanel.com – I have swatches of everything including:

Les 4 Ombres

Chanel Fall-Winter 2020 - Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quads

There are three Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Eyeshadow Quads. Candeur Et Experience is a repromote and there are two new colors in Candeur Et Provocation and Candeur Et Seduction. Everything has a pink and red theme for a trendy eye look. I found the matte version the easiest to pull off for my neutral-loving self. I also like the look of Candeur Et Provocation because of the brown and light pink mix.

All the quads performed well for me. They have a soft easy to blend pigment that layers nicely and applies smoothly on the lids. Below left to right:

  • Candeur Et Experience has a warm matte brown, a tan canel, matte brown-red and a deeper matte brown with a satiny feel
  • Candeur Et Provocation has a cool pink shimmer, a pink rose gold shimmer, a raspberry shimmer and a warm coffee brown
  • Candeur Et Seduction has a raspberry matte, a pale white-pink shimmer, a bold red satin and a brown brick red

Stylo Yeux Waterproof

There are two new Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliners this season. Romance is a shimmery soft mauve-pink (I think I want to try this as a lip liner!) and Psyche is a matte plum brown. I swatched these next to a few other liners for color reference. The Stylo Yeux Waterproof this season are smooth and pigmented. Psyche is a deep color that is a nice alternative to black or brown.

Baume Essential Multi-Use Glow Stick

There’s a new Baume Essential Multi-Use Glow Stick in Rosee. I have mixed feelings about this but I still keep on trying them out. These are a glossy twist up glow stick with a balmy glossy finish. I think they’re nice in photos to add a glow on the cheeks but they’re too dewy for my skin type and Florida heat to wear anywhere except the lips. Rosee is a sheer rose, on the cheeks it’s fairly sheer although I can see a pinkish tint on the skin.

Le Vernis

My favorite things in the collection are the two new Le Vernis Nail Colors. Egerie is a really pretty peachy pink cream. Interdit is a deep blackened brown-red (very similar to Rouge Noir and Vamp, just a different more brown undertone). I get full smooth coverage with two coats. I almost always top with the Chanel Le Gel Coat on top for added shine and lasting power.

Chanel Fall 2020 Le Vernis Egerie and Interdit

Fall-Winter Lip Colors

Last is a look at the fall lip colors for the season. There are mostly dark vampy shades with a couple lighter options in the mix.

Chanel Fall Winter 2020 Lips

Chanel Fall Winter 2020 Lips swatches

There are two Rouge Allure Ink Fusion colors. These are the long-wear liquid lips and since these are darker the coverage and pigment is very good. Ambiguite is a fawn mauve brown. Idyllique is a classic deep brick red.

There are also two Rouge Coco Flash lipsticks which are a sheer finish. Flushed is a pretty coral pink with gold shimmer mixed. Lust is a sheer mauve brown.

And lastly there are two Rouge Coco Lip Colors. This formula is a classic lipstick with medium coverage and a satiny finish with a subtle shine. Adrienne is a repromote which is a pale beige pink. Attraction is a plum brown which layers to an almost black color on my lips when I give it a few swipes.

Fall colors on the face below wearing:

Chanel Fall 2020 Makeup Looks

That wraps up my review and swatches of the Chanel Fall-Winter 2020 Collection for beauty! For me the standouts are the Le Vernis nail colors as I’m a die-hard collector, although Interdit is very similar to Rouge Noir and Vamp so I can’t call it a must-have. I love the Rouge Coco Flash in Flushed. The other items performed well true to Chanel quality standards. The color palette is very pink and red which isn’t the easiest to pull off for everyday as they pull more on the trendy side.

Hope you found this post helpful! You can find the Chanel Fall-Winter 2020 Collection out now at Chanel.com. The items should be arriving at other retailers and counters soon.

Pat McGrath Labs

Pat McGrath Rose Decadence MTHRSHP Palette + Lip Fetish Divinyl Lip Shines

August 25, 2020

Pat McGrath Labs Rose Decadence Collection Review

I’m back with a look at the new Pat McGrath Rose Decadence Collection today! Pat McGrath Labs launched new items for eyes and lips. I have a full review featuring the MTHRSHP Eye Palette in Rose Decadence, Lip Fetish Divinyl Lip Shines + a three of the new Permagel Ultra Lip Pencils. You can find the entire collection along with some bundle value sets online at Pat McGrath.

MTHRSHP Eye Palette in Rose Decadence

Pat McGrath MTHRSHP Rose Decadence Eyeshadow Palette

The MTHRSHP Eye Palette in Rose Decadence ($65 for 6 shades) features a mix of mattes, satins and shimmers in warm rosey tone colors. I think the formula for each color is true to her quality standards for most of her palettes. Each color performed well with smooth application and easy to blend textures. Colors do pull very pink/plum which may not be the easiest to pull off for everyone. I think they’re really lovely for a glam rosy look, but color-wise I think her Mothership Divine Rose is easier to wear for everyday as it pulls a lot more neutral.

Pat McGrath MTHRSHP Rose Decadence Eyeshadow Palette

Pat McGrath MTHRSHP Rose Decadence Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

Colors include:

  • Pink Champagne is a shimmery pink with a white/gold sheen, on my skin (love this one!)
  • Peach Dusk is a warm satin peachy pink (pulls more coral in real life than the swatch shows)
  • Fuchsia Flame is a shimmery plum pink pearl mix
  • Hedonistic Rose is a matte plum (applies better on eyes than it swatches on hand)
  • Scandalous is a shimmery orange copper
  • Golden Honey is a metallic sparkling gold

__________

Lip Fetish Divinyl Lip Shines

Pat McGrath Lip Fetish Divinyl Lip Shine

Lip Fetish Divinyl Lip Shines ($36 each) are a new formula of ultra pigmented lip shine lipsticks. They have more pigment than her Lip Fetish Sheer Colour Lip Balms (which have also been repackaged). The Lip Fetish Divinyl Lip Shines are creamy high-shine comfortable feeling lipsticks. Pigment shows up better on the lips than on a hand swatch. Lasting power is average for a lipstick – they stay put on the lips and fade nicely like a balm. I think all the colors are ultra flattering for a classic bold lip look. Easy to wear year round regardless of season or occasion.

__________

Permagel Ultra Lip Pencils

Pat McGrath Permagel Ultra Lip Pencil

Last but not least are a few new lip pencils. There are 10 new shades of the Permagel Ultra Lip Pencils ($28 each). I like these for an opaque lip pencil that stays put without budging once it sets. I ordered three of the new ones and swatched them next to the other Pat McGrath neutrals I own. New colors above include Half Naked (pale neutral dusty pink), Star Struck (medium rose pink) and Structure (neutral medium brown).

Pat McGrath Labs Rose Decadence Collection Review

Overall a solid collection of new launches. The Lip Fetish Divinyl Lip Shines are super nice if you’re looking for a comfortable high pigment shine lipstick. I cannot pick a favorite although I do really like the look of Boudoir Rose and Belle Amour the most. The new Rose Decadence eyeshadow palette won’t be for everyone as I know rose tones for eyes aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. I do think the quality and pigment is excellent – lasting power, texture and ease of blending is top notch. I haven’t had a chance to play with the lip pencils yet, but Structure seems to be the perfect brown I’ve been looking for. I do love the other lip pencils I have from her line and the new shades are the same quality-wise.

You can find the new Pat McGrath launches available now online at Pat McGrath. Some have popped up at Sephora as well. If you’re shopping multiple colors I highly recommend you check out the bundles at Pat McGrath – she offers a nice price break on her sets!

Fenty Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick Review + Swatches

August 11, 2020

Fenty Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick Review + Swatches

I hauled a few of the Fenty Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipsticks ($22 each for 2.8g / 0.098 oz) from Sephora and finally have a review with swatches. I’m a huge fan of sheer glossy lipsticks in general so I had high hopes for these sheer lipsticks from Fenty. I think they’re winners – they’re comfortable, cushiony, not heavy or too slippery and have a nice sheer-medium coverage. I feel like they have a little less slip than the YSL Rouge Volupte Shines (these feel like they slide around a little more) and a little more pigment than the neutral Chanel Rouge Coco Flash lipsticks.

Fenty Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick Review

Given the overall vibe of Fenty Beauty I was surprised to see so many neutrals in the lineup. I’m not complaining though since I’m a neutral lip lover! My favorite one ended up being the brightest color they launched. I hope they expand the line – would love to see a plum, a deeper brighter rose, and a few more peachy colors.

Lasting power is decent for a sheer lipstick. They have a balmy like feel so they won’t be long lasting like a traditional lipstick. You can always use these to top a liner for more depth or color. I hauled 7 of the colors. I love 5 of them. 2 were just ok because of the color, but quality is still really nice.

Close ups and swatches of the Fenty Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick on the arm, as usual with sheer lipsticks, these will look very different once on the lips. All of these have some degree of shimmer in the tube but it’s not frosty at all. The shimmer is very subtle on my lips.

Makeout Break is a light sheer beige nude. Since I have pigmented lips this barely showed up on me so I had to pack it on. Other things I’m wearing in the post:

Glazed is a really nice neutral beige. It has a slightly pinkish undertone on my lips, but on the hand it pulls more peachy.

Retro Rose is such a pretty soft pink rose, I kinda wish this were a little more pigmented but I like the overall vibe. I can just add a rosy lip liner underneath to bring out the color.

Goji Gang is a deeper rose with a subtle plum tone to it.

Suga Kiss is a blue based baby pink. When I bought this I knew it probably wouldn’t work but I still wanted to give it a try. Does not work with my coloring.

__________

Tang Thang is my favorite. It’s a bright orange in the tube but is more wearable than it looks.

__________

Fenty Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick Review + Swatches | The Beauty Look Book

I’m overall pleased with my haul picks and I think the quality is really nice. They’re comfortable to wear. Naturally flattering. Easy to just throw on for some shine and color. I almost think they are better than the YSL formula. My top three picks are Glazed, Retro Rose and Tang Thang. That being said if you’re a sheer lipstick or balm fan and you haven’t bought any of these yet, you may want to wait for the new Pat McGrath Rose Decadence collection launching this week and there are new tinted balms which I am DYING to see.

I bought mine from Sephora. You can also find these online at Fenty Beauty. Have you tried any of these yet? What did you think?

Best of Charlotte Tilbury Makeup | The Beauty Look Book

Charlotte Tilbury has been one of my favorite beauty brands for years and I’m excited to partner with them to share a look at my top picks for an effortless everyday polished look. So many of the products in her line have become tried and true staples for me. I think she’s created a great range of flattering colors for a natural or glam look.

Best Charlotte Tilbury Makeup

Magic Cream

The Magic Cream is one of their best sellers and I can see why! It’s a great versatile everyday kind of moisturizer to balance and hydrate my skin. I like that it helps noticeably smooth, plump skin and hydrate the face without feeling too heavy or thick – I use it as a foundation primer too. I’ve repurchased multiple jars over the years. It has hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C + E to give you a nice glow.

Base Makeup

For foundation my favorite formula from her line is the Magic Foundation for a demi-matte, long-lasting, buildable coverage formula that creates a flawless, perfect-looking finish. It blends in nicely with the skin and evens out everything without feeling heavy. She recently expanded the shade range and my perfect match is 6.75 (neutral undertone). I’ll often add a little of her Hollywood Flawless Filter in Shade 4 to highlight and add a natural glow.

Long-time readers know the Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder in Medium 2 is my holy grail pressed powder. It has a smoothing effect with natural coverage to set foundation and blur fine lines. It truly does give the face a subtle airbrush kind of look and I cannot live without it. It’s so popular that they now sell one every minute! They recently expanded the shade options to include Tan and Deep.

I’ve been obsessed with all of the Charlotte Tilbury lip products for as long as I can remember. The Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk is my go-to everyday pink rose color that goes with everything. For her traditional creamy lipstick in the K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick formula Bitch Perfect (pretty soft nude pink) and Stoned Rose (warmer rose) are my most-worn shades. For a neutral peachy pink, the Hot Lips 2 In Love With Olivia is another favorite. And of course her classic Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk is a great everyday pink rose color I think everyone should own.

Natasha Denona

Natasha Denona Bronze Collection

July 16, 2020

Natasha Denona Bronze Collection Summer 2020

The Natasha Denona Bronze Collection just launched with some of the most beautiful summery bronze shimmers I think I’ve ever seen. She created some truly beautiful colors for this collection and I think everything is just so stunning and unique. In the collection we have:

Natasha Denona Bronze Collection Review

Bronze Eyeshadow Palette

Natasha Denona Bronze Eyeshadow Palette

The Bronze Eyeshadow Palette has 15 colors with a mix of mattes, sparkles and shimmers. This one comes in one of the smaller-pan size options and is priced at a lower price point of $65 (versus the larger 15-pan variations like the Biba Palette or Gold Eyeshadow Palette which retail for $129). Her eyeshadow palettes are on the more expensive side, but when you break it down to price per pan I think her prices are pretty reasonable given the fact you get 15 shades in a large sturdy mirrored compact.

Color-wise I find there is quite a bit of variation among the colors which makes for an endless amount of combinations. I am particularly smitten with the bottom row of shimmers – they have the prettiest mix of colors with a beautiful sheen. It’s hard for me to find a palette where I like every single color – this is one of those palettes. The sparkles in this one are wearable – they aren’t too glitzy or sparkly for me. Mattes are buttery smooth. Shimmers layer and blend beautifully.

Colors include:

  • True Copper – sparkling warm copper
  • Suntan – matte warm brown
  • Sundown – medium yellow brown matte
  • Deep Dive – deep eggplant brown shimmer
  • Rhodium – gorgeous purple shimmer with silvery violet flecks
  • Magma – matte reddish brown
  • High Degree – red copper shimmer
  • Alloy – sparkling bronze shimmer
  • Ridge – matte mustard
  • True Bronze – shimmering bronze gold
  • Gloaming – shimmery red with gold shimmer
  • Palladium – warm pink taupe shimmer
  • Bliss – duo chrome red pink gold shimmer
  • Silk – sparkling glittery champagne
  • Beach – warm matte sand nude

Natasha Denona Bronze Eyeshadow Palette swatches

Bronze Cheek Face Glow Palette

Natasha Denona Bronze Cheek Face Glow Palette

The Bronze Cheek Face Glow Palette is a 4-pan cheek palette. To me this one is all about glow. It has two cream colors called Bounce Creams. The Bounce Cream Glow is an iridescent duo chrome opal gold shade and the Bounce Cream Blush is a medium tan shimmer. These have a very soft almost semi-matte feel (similar to the Westman Atelier Eye Pods). They’re creamy but not too creamy. Shimmer is ultra fine and smooth with the creams and give the skin a smooth glow.

The Super Glow Bronze is a shimmery warm bronze. It’s too shimmery to be a bronzer and too warm to be a blush. The Super Glow Nude is a shimmery metallic sandy gold. I think it makes a stunning glow palette for summer. You can wear it on the cheeks or eyes anywhere you want a highlight.

Natasha Denona Bronze Cheek Face Glow Palette

I just applied the colors from the palette on the face without any added bronzer or blush so you could get an idea of how it looks on the skin by itself. For a complete look or everyday wear this is more of a highlighting palette to be rather than a bronzer palette like the Tan Bronze and Glow Palette she launched last summer (reviewed here).

Natasha Denona Bronze Cheek Face Glow Palette vs Tan Bronze Glow

Lip Oh-Phoria Gloss Balms

Natasha Denona Bronze Lip Oh Phoria

There are three new shades of Lip Oh-Phoria Gloss and Balms. Tan Nude is a beige tan with subtle gold flecks (on my lips it turns more milky/peachy). Caramel is a sparkling caramel brown with gold shimmer. Chestnut looks like the perfect color for fall – it’s a deep brown with a hint of shimmer. Pigment and coverage is medium with these. They have a high shine and smooth finish. Similar to the other colors in this formula they have a minty scent and subtle taste. Since they’re balms the lasting power isn’t going to be super long. They’ll fade but they’ll fade nicely.

Natasha Denona Bronze Collection look

As a huge Natasha Denona fan I think the Bronze Eyeshadow Palette is the stand out in this collection. It’s warm but not too warm for me (no matte reds). I think the deeper shades pull the look together. I personally love the new Bronze Cheek Face Glow Palette but I have a slight preference for her original Tan Bronze and Glow. The Lip Oh-Phoria colors are all on the brown side which can be tricky to pull off sometimes. I like the look of Tan Nude although it surprised me because it turned more peachy on my lips than it looked in the tube.

You can find the Natasha Denona Bronze Collection out now. Available at Sephora, Beautylish and Natasha Denona.
