New Bobbi Brown Launches

New Bobbi Brown Makeup Launches

Bobbi Brown has some new launches for summer and I have a look at them today! I hauled the Real Nudes collection along with a few of the new Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks. The Bobbi Brown PR team also sent over all the new cream shadow sticks which I’m thrilled about. The two that I bought were so good I was going to buy more colors anyways.

Glow All Nude: Real Nudes

Bobbi Brown Crushed Oil-Infused Gloss Shimmers

above top to bottom: Bellini, Bare Sparkle, Kir Sugar

There are three new Crushed Oil-Infused Gloss Shimmers ($29 each) in shimmer shades and four new Highlighting Powders ($50 each). I hauled all three glosses and three of the highlighting powders.

The Crushed Oil-Infused Glosses have been a long time favorite in the original colors and I was excited to see these in a NEW Shimmer Formula. These shimmers aren’t quite as sticky/tacky feeling as her original lip gloss but they’re not as smooth as the other Crushed Oil-Infused gloss shades. I’d say they’re somewhere in between. Colors are smooth without any texture even though they’re sparkly and I absolutely love them. They adhere well to the lips and have really good lasting power on me. They’re hydrating but not super emollient like a balm/oil. They’re definitely more like a gloss than a lip oil to me.

  • Bare Sparkle is a clear pink base with gold and pink flecks to sparkle (sheer/clear on me)
  • Bellini is a pink pearl with gold and pink pearl flecks
  • Kir Sugar is a really pretty plum

Bobbi Brown Real Nudes Swatches

Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powders NEW

It’s been a while since I’ve seen new shades of her Highlighting Powders and this round has really pretty colors! I could not resist trying them and my favorite is Peach Glow. Shimmer is smooth and has that really pretty metallic sheen that’s not too frosty.

  • Quartz Glow is a pale light gold champagne
  • Peach Glow is the perfect mix of tan peach and white peach
  • Chestnut Glow is pretty mix of champagne and soft bronze

I skipped Copper Glow as it looked really warm and I thought it would be too warm for my skin tone. Three looks below wearing different combinations of the lip glosses + highlighters. Base is the Giorgio Armani Neo Nude Tint in 6.5. Eye colors are a mix of Sunrise Pink, Golden Amber and Espresso. I’m using her Precise Blending Blush to apply the highlighter which is a nice soft dense brush.

Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks

There are new shades of the Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks (new shades, $30 each) and I’m beyond thrilled! I love a good shimmer for the lid and these are indeed long-wearing once they set. They layer nicely together and I’ll also mix with other powder shadows for a complete look. I think all the new ones are stunning. There are 10 total. My favorite is Golden Amber which is similar to Laura Mercier Copper.

  • Moonstone is a pale light champagne gold
  • Mica is a champagne beige
  • Peach Mimosa is a pale shimmery light peach
  • Golden Amber is a perfect copper shimmer
  • Incandescent duo chrome pink gold
  • Sunrise Pink is a pale pink with gold shimmer
  • Smokey Topaz is a perfect taupe shimmer
  • Mulberry is a stunning wine shimmer
  • Forest is a deep khaki green shimmer
  • Espresso is a deep brown with a tiny hint of shimmer

Also added Golden Pink and Golden Bronze to the swatch mix for reference.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Haul: Posh Gloss, Cheeky Posh + Lid Lustre

May 26, 2022

Victoria Beckham Beauty Haul: Posh Gloss, Cheeky Posh + Lid Lustre

I have a Victoria Beckham Beauty haul to share today! She launched a lip gloss formula called Posh Gloss in nudes a while ago and so many of you have asked for a review and swatches. The colors seemed to greige/brown for my taste but when I saw she launched her Posh Gloss Spritz in pink shades I decided to give them a try.

I also have a look at her Cheeky Posh Cream Blush Sticks and a few of the Lid Lustre colors. Overall I’m really impressed.

Cheeky Posh Cream Blush Sticks

Victoria Beckham Beauty Cheeky Posh Cream Blush Sticks

I’m beyond impressed with the Victoria Beckham Cheeky Posh Cream Blush Sticks ($42 each). It took me forever to try since I’m typically not a cream blush fan. Whenever a new cream blush formula is launched, I’m usually not interested. Most creams do not do well on my skin and I find they become super dewy oil slick within minutes.

These have a really nice dry down with a soft velvety texture that’s creamy but not too creamy. Pigment is medium but can be sheered out. They do remain a tiny bit creamy on the skin, when the hot humid weather arrives I don’t think they’ll be super long wearing but for now they have pretty good lasting power on me.

Every single color is perfect to me. The lightest one is a bit pale on my skin but I like it mixed with the other shades. I can’t pick a favorite. They’re all phenomenal.

  • Knickers is a soft peach
  • Playground is a brown pink nude
  • Major is a soft pink mauve
  • Rollerskate is a hot pink (LOVE this one)
  • Miniskirt is a berry rose brown

Victoria Beckham Beauty Cheeky Posh Cream Blush Stick swatches

If I could say one bad thing about them it would be the price. They’re a bit steep given the size but I really like the product and packaging (twist up style).

Posh Gloss

Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Gloss

The Posh Gloss ($28) is a beautiful gloss formula! It’s smooth and glossy without any tacky/sticky feel. You can layer for a bit more coverage but in general they have medium pigment. I was surprised how wearable the colors are. Even the nudes. They have no detectable scent. My favorites are Bungalow and Fizz. Lasting power is pretty good for a gloss. They don’t slide off or fade quickly, but they will transfer and won’t last through a meal (at least for me).

  • Bikini is a pale light beige
  • Tan Lines is a neutral tan beige
  • Poolside is a 90s brown with a tiny hint of rose
  • Picante is a peachy pink
  • Bungalow is a perfect petal pink
  • Fizz is a neutral cool rose mauve
  • Aperitivo is a warm rose plum

On the lips below with a coordinating cream blush or bronzer. I’m wearing her Lid Lustre in Honey + Chiffon mixed with her Satin Kajal Eyeliner in Black. For skintone reference I’m wearing Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow in B40.

Lid Lustre

Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lustre

Last we have a look at three of her Lid Lustres ($36 each). I really love these. They’re sparkling pressed powder shadows that you can apply with a finger or brush. I love the multi-dimensional shimmers and they adhere well to the eyes with minimal fallout. Pigment is easy to control and layer. I hauled Honey and Tea Rose quite some time ago but couldn’t remember if I had swatched them. I think those are the two best shades she has.

She recently added Starlight (khaki gold) and Chiffon (champagne quartz). I immediately ordered Chiffon but hadn’t used it until this week. It’s pure love. I’m hoping she continues to expand the colors for this formula because it’s SO good. Shimmer is noticeable but more finely milled and less glitzy compared to the Hourglass Scattered Light Eyeshadows (which I still really love).

Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lustre swatches

Overall a huge haul success in my book. I love everything I tried this round (which hasn’t always been the case in the past). More Victoria Beckham Beauty reviews by clicking on the VBB Category.

Five Neutral Nude Pinks I’m Loving Right Now

May 24, 2022

Nude Pink Nail Polishes

opening image: round marble tray, coffee table book, sunglasses

You girls know I love a good neutral nude nail, there are so many good shades out there! Wanted to round up 5 I’ve been wearing lately I think are worth checking out. Essie, Olive and June and Gucci shades are applied with 2 coats, the Chanel and Dior have 3 coats.

Essie Topless and Barefoot

Essie Topless and Barefoot

Essie Topless and Barefoot is probably one of the most-complimented nail colors I wear. It’s a great perfect pale nude pink. If you’re looking for a quick-dry version I highly recommend checking out Expressie Crop Top and Roll. It’s not exactly the same but it’s really close.

Chanel Onirique

Chanel Le Vernis Onirique

Chanel Le Vernis in Onirique 923 is a really pretty soft pink nude with a hint of peach. It’s on the sheer side but has smooth coverage. If you want a more transparent finish 2 coats is sufficient. I applied 3 for a bit more color. It’s part of the Reve de Chanel collection which I hauled but didn’t review. I think all 3 nail colors are really pretty (if you don’t mind semi-sheer colors). So far I’ve only seen the collection available online at Chanel.com. (P.S. I still love Organdi, but I wore it so much I’m trying to switch it up a bit!)

Olive and June

Olive and June CHM

Olive and June has quite a few good neutrals. It’s hard to pick one favorite, I love CDJ, MM, GH, EC, HZ, the list goes on and on. You can check out all their NEUTRAL colors here. I am really loving CHM which is a beige neutral.

Gucci Beauty

Gucci Beauty Annabel Rose

I wish Gucci Beauty would launch more colors because I love the ones I’ve tried so far! Anytime I wear Annabel Rose I always get questions “what nail color are you wearing?” It’s a nice everyday neutral with a tiny bit of shimmer to give it some dimension.

Dior Vernis

Dior Vernis in Nude Look 100

I know a lot of you used to be die hard Dior Vernis collectors. I used to be too. They seemed to have slowed down on new color launches but I recommend checking Dior.com for the latest. They don’t always launch new colors at other retailers but you can usually find them online at Dior (I love the three new ones for summer!). I hauled Nude Look 100 since I love the lipsticks in this color. Nude Look 100 Nail Polish is a nude pink. It’s a tiny bit transparent with a bit of a jelly finish. Two coats covers my nail maybe 85% of the way. It’s smooth and non-streaky and just a tiny bit of my nail shows through. I love it. I think it’s a great rose nude pink.

I have a lot of other nail polish features on the blog. You can click on the NAIL POLISH category to pull up all the other roundups I’ve done. If you want more nude/neutral swatches you can check out these posts:

For those new to the blog and my Hand/Nail Care Essentials rounded up here. My current go-to base coat is the OPI Natural Base Coat. For top coats I love the OPI Top Coat, Essie Speed Setter and Gel Setter.

Charlotte Tilbury

Charlotte Tilbury Quick & Easy Looks

Charlotte Tilbury Quick and Easy Looks

Charlotte Tilbury launched five instant-look sets in her new Quick and Easy Collection. These are kit trios with cream twist up sticks packaged in a mirrored cases for busy women on-the-go. I was intrigued by the concept and ordered a few. There are five color variations total. Kits are priced at $75 each but each component is available separately as a refill ($27 for the highlighter, $20 for the eye wand, $27 for the lip + cheek wand, $20 for the case). All available online at Charlotte Tilbury.

Each kit has 1 Easy Lip and Cheek Wand, 1 Easy Eye Wand and 1 Easy Highlighter Wand. While doing some research on the colors I found that while there are 5 different Easy Lip & Cheek Wands and 5 Easy Eye Wands, the Easy Highlighter Wand is available in 2 colors.

Charlotte Tilbury Quick and Easy Looks

on the nails: Dior Vernis Bayadere 633

I bought 3 kits and 2 refills. After playing around with these I have mixed thoughts. I love the concept and the colors are beautiful. The packaging is clever and super convenient for on-the-go whether you want to throw it into your purse or travel. Quality and color payoff of the products is excellent. Here are my thoughts on each product.

The Easy Lip and Cheek Wands are really nice! I liked them more than I thought I would. I usually don’t like products that are for both lip + cheek because I find them either too dewy or too dry. These work for both. Swiping on the lips gives you medium to full color payoff. Finish on the cheeks is more subtle once you blend it out. Not 100% matte, still a little creamy, but not super emollient.

The Easy Highlighter Wands come in two colors and if you’re a fan of the dewy highlighter look they’re really nice. They don’t have a dry down and remain dewy but I wouldn’t call them quite as dewy as the Chanel Baume Essentiels. On my skin these have a nice shimmer glow without glitter or frost.

My thoughts on the Easy Eye Wands are mixed. Pros: once they set they are budge-proof, colors are buildable and easy to blend (but you have to work quickly), color selection is nice! Cons: a single shade isn’t enough for a complete eye look, product is a little bit dry so there is a bit of tugging on the skin but once you warm it up it’s easier to work with, product size is very small.

Onto a look at the kits! Swatches below:

Charlotte Tilbury Quick and Easy swatches

Pretty Fresh

I bought the refills for the Pretty Fresh Look with just the Easy Eye Wand and Easy Lip & Cheek Wand. On my skin the Pretty Fresh eye color is a neutral champagne shimmer that pretty much matches my eye lid color so it was nearly invisible once blended. In the look below I added the Easy Eye Wand in Golden Glow.

Pretty Fresh Lip & Cheek is a pretty vibrant coral pink. I think it’s fun and fresh for summer. I also added the Easy Highlighter Wand in Chic Glow which is a pale opal shimmer. Skin-tone wise I’m wearing the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation in Shade 7 now.

Date Night has a stunning mauve pink shimmer for the eye wand. The cheek is a neutral pink color. This set also has Chic Glow for the highlighter but in this look I did not apply it.

Overall Thoughts

I love the concept and the quality is on point. However I don’t think these are going to give you a “complete” look unless you’re more of a minimalist and want just a subtle pop of color to refresh your look. These kits will cover the basics and I think they’re great for a quick and easy look. As much as I love a simple eye look I find I still need 3 colors for the eyes. Another downside is the price. I think the price points are fairly steep given the size.

I like that you can buy the individual shades. The compact is clever and holds everything in place so product doesn’t get lost in your bag. Individuals also come with caps so the product is sealed. Overall I really love the Lip & Cheek Shades. I think they’re nice for that quick and easy look for both the lips and cheeks. All the colors I tried are super wearable and have good color payoff.

If you were looking for swatches and a review I hope you found this post helpful! I don’t know that I can call them must-haves. I like the concept, quality is great and I will use them.

You can find these available at Charlotte Tilbury right now. Have you checked these out? What did you think?

Sephora Haul Review

I have a Sephora haul to share today with a look at some new beauty launches in skincare and makeup! This month is my birthday month so I picked up my Beauty Insider Birthday Gift. There are a few options to pick from and I opted for the Laura Mercier set with the mini powder and caviar stick. The set is super cute and I can’t wait to try the eyeshadow stick (it’s a new color)! If you’re not a Beauty Insider yet you can sign up here. They offer a lot of fun perks. You’ll get access to events, early access to product launches, deluxe samples and more. You can Enjoy Free shipping on all orders with code FREESHIP. Exclusions apply.

Here’s a look at what I hauled so far this month. More beauty newness is coming at the end of the month which I’m looking forward to (lots of new bronzers) but here’s what I’ve tested so far.

Sephora Haul Picks

Skincare Picks

Sephora Haul Skincare

Sephora Haul Fenty Skin, Dior Beauty and Glow Recipe

I picked up a few new launches in skincare. I’m a huge fan of detox masks to help clear up the skin and pores. The Fenty Cookies N Clean Whipped Clay Detox Face Mask is one of the gentlest pore masks I’ve ever tried and it looks like cookies and cream ice cream (but without any scent)! Most detox masks are very strong which I don’t mind, but this one is super gentle, non-drying, has charcoal and salicylic acid and helped to clear out pores. It sold out almost immediately but I just checked online and it restocked!

I have been a huge fan of Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Pink Juice Oil-Free Moisturizer but wanted to try something new. They just launched the Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum. It’s a nice lightweight serum with AHA and BHA to help smooth the skin and reduce breakouts. I typically get breakouts around my chin especially in the summertime so I’m really excited to use this one this summer. I’ve only used it a few times so far but I like the texture and feel. It is heavily scented so if you’re sensitive to fragrance I recommend doing a patch test first.

I wanted to give the Dior La Mousse OFF/ON Foaming Face Cleanser another shout out. If you’re looking to switch up your spring to summer cleansing routine I highly recommend giving this one a look. It’s effective at removing makeup and cleaning the face but doesn’t strip the skin.

Perfume

Jo Malone Crystal Campion Cologne

There are so many beautiful new perfumes out this season! I hauled a few of the newer Jo Malone launches earlier in the spring and decided to add one more to my collection. I picked up the Jo Malone Crystal Campion Cologne which I think is a beautiful floral with watery notes. On my skin it’s more floral and it smells like spring. Notes include blackcurrant and campion flower accord. Although I don’t really detect the blackcurrant.

I’ve been so interested in the Phlur perfume line and decided to try the Phloria Eau de Parfum (9.5 ml travel size). It’s pure love! It’s a warm jasmin floral that reminds me of Tom Ford Soleil Blanc. It truly is like sunshine in a bottle. I’m considering the full size but also want to try some of their other fragrances before committing to a larger bottle.

Phlur Phloria Eau de Parfum

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa ’68 Beija Flor Hair & Body Fragrance Mist is a really nice sweet gourmand scent. It matches the Body Cream perfectly. If you’re into sweet ones this is worth checking out! It’s fairly potent even though it’s a body mist.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa ’68 Beija Flor Hair & Body Fragrance Mist

Lips

Gucci Beauty Liquid Lipsticks

Gucci Beauty launched Liquid Lipsticks and they sold out almost instantly but finally restocked. I picked two shades in 144 Grace Cinnamon (nude pink) and 413 Cornelia Pink (cool pink). These are whipped liquid lipsticks that have a weightless feel. On the lips they feel light and airy. They do take a little bit to dry/set but once they do they don’t move. I think they’re very good for a liquid matte but I’m more of a gloss girl and would absolutely love it if they made this in a shine formula!

Grace Cinnamon

Gucci Liquid Lipstick 144 Grace Cinnamon

_______

Cornelia Pink

Gucci Liquid Lipstick 413 Cornelia Pink

Also added a swatch (above) of the Gucci Crayon Contour Des Lévres Lip Liner in Nude which sells out frequently but has also been restocked. I think it’s a really nice go-with-everything neutral.

Eyes

Benefit Precisely Brow Bonus Defining Eyebrow Pencil Value Set

For the eyes Benefit launched a brow duo which I snapped up immediately. I really like their brow pencils so stocked up on the Precisely Brow Bonus Defining Eyebrow Pencil Value Set. I use either shade 2.5 or 3 because my brows are lighter in color than my hair.

Last is a look at the Tarte Quick Stick Waterproof Shadow and Liner in Golden Pink Luster/Black. I hauled a few shades last month and loved them I picked up a few more. This one is probably my favorite for a quick and easy eye look. Once they set they don’t budge which is ideal for summer. Highly recommend. They also have a few matte options!

Sephora Haul Picks Gucci Beauty, Dior, Fenty Skin

That wraps up my haul roundup for now! I am anxiously waiting for the summer bronzers to launch in the next few weeks! Will definitely be sharing a look at them once they launch.

10 Things I’m Loving Right Now

May 16, 2022

May Skincare Hair Care Favorites Kerastase, Elemis, Naturium

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend! Wanted to round up 10 things I’m loving right now in a skincare + hair care edition. I feel like I’ve been focused primarily on makeup here on the blog I’ve neglected skincare and hair care. I wanted to give some love to the skincare lovers and readers and highlight some recent new loves and discoveries.

Elemis

Elemis Skincare Favorites

Marble Tray: Crate and Barrel

I just started using Elemis and I’ve been blown away by how good this line is. I shared a look at some things on stories last week and was happy to hear a lot of good feedback from you! They’ve given me a promo code SABRINA20 to use and save 20% off Elemis from now through June 30th.

I love a good cleansing balm and I tried both the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm* (1) and Elemis Pro-Collagen Naked Balm (2). Both are great for removing makeup and sunscreen without stripping the skin. Apply and massage to dry skin and it starts as a balm, transforms into an oil cleanser and then a milky cleanser texture when you add warm water to rinse. These come with a cleansing cloth (love). They can also double as a mask if you leave on for 10 minutes before rinsing. The Naked one is their unscented version which is really nice especially for those who are sensitive to fragrance in skincare.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm + Resurfacing Pads

Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads* (3) are the best resurfacing pads I’ve tried. Most leave a film or are too strong for my skin but these have the perfect formula and strength for me. They have Lactic Acid and Probiotic Ferment Complex to help accelerate skin turnover. I use them 1x per day (although you can use 2x) and it’s helped with skin texture. My skin is prone to a lot of clogging with sweat, sunscreen, and makeup. This helps remove dead skin and exfoliate.

Elemis Favorites

Best Bath Salts

Dr. Teals Pink Himalayan Mineral Soak

I think the best kept secrets for the at-home spa are the Dr. Teals Bath Salts. I started taking more salt baths and soaks when Andrew and I started lifting weights. The Epsom salt baths help a lot with the muscle tension. I’ve tried a number of different brands and so far my favorite is the Dr. Teals Pink Himalayan Mineral Soak (4). I get these at the grocery store or Target or Ulta. It has the best relaxing spa-like scent to me with the Pink Himalayan and Orange Bergamot mix. Andrew loves it too.

Dr. Teals Pink Himalayan Mineral Soak

Marble Bath Caddy: CB2

The packaging isn’t the prettiest so I bought a few jars to store the salts in. I bought this Extra Large Glass Canister and a metal scooper from Crate and Barrel. I’m also not the most careful with glass so I picked up the Medium Matte Ceramic Canister as well to try (lid has a rubber seal). In case you want to know what I hauled at Crate and Barrel I’ve linked them below.

Crate and Barrel Home Haul

Naturium Skincare

Naturium Glow Getter Multi-Oil Body Wash

Another skincare line I’ve discovered this is year Naturium and I’ve been really impressed with their body products. They’re affordable yet effective and very good! I’m still working my way through trying all the Body Washes but I really love the ones I’ve tried. It’s been challenging to find a good sized body wash I really love that won’t break the bank (I repurchase often). My favorite so far is the Naturium Glow Getter Multi-Oil Body Wash* (5).

Naturium Bio-Lipid Restoring Body Lotion

They also launched a body lotion this year called the Naturium Bio-Lipid Restoring Body Lotion* (6) and I’m absolutely obsessed. It’s a really nice fragrance free option that isn’t greasy and absorbs quickly. Highly recommend and it’s $15. You can buy from Naturium and also at Target.

Kerastase Love

Kerastase Chroma Absolu

I visited my hair stylist earlier this month for a root touch up. I don’t highlight my hair anymore but the whites and greys have started to creep in so I see her every few months for a root touch up. You can follow her @melissajeanhairstylist if you’re looking for a great colorist in Tampa!

On my latest trip she was so excited to show me the new Chroma Absolu line from Kerastase and it’s pure love. It’s formulated for color-treated hair and I love it to add shine. It’s one of the best smelling lines I’ve tried.

I bought everything she used on me that was still available in the salon (they were already sold out of a few things) and I went immediately to Sephora to purchase the rest.

I also love the Kerastase Chroma Absolu Shampoo for Fine to Medium Color-Treated Hair (7) and Chroma Absolu Strengthening Conditioner (8). I bought the Gloss Shine Treatment and love it but think I would prefer a mask format instead. They have a Chroma Absolut Anti-Copper Green Mask for Color Treated Hair that’s supposed to neutralize unwanted red or copper tones in brunette hair. If I ever get highlights again I think this would be amazing.

Kerastase Serum Chroma Thermique Hair Serum

The Kerastase Serum Chroma Thermique Hair Serum (9) is my favorite blow dry protectant and frizz reducing spray that I’ve tried from the line so far. It’s better than the Discipline Anti-Frizz Smoothing Spray in my opinion.

A look at my favorite spray treatments from Kerastase. Left to right: Serum Chroma Thermique (I use as a heat protectant), Discipline Fluidissime (anti-frizz spray), Soleil Huile Sirene (bi-phase oil to soften hair, great for summer when your hair is exposed to more sun) and the Genesis Defense Thermique (blow-dry primer).

Dior La Mousse OFF/ON Foaming Face Cleanser

Last favorite I want to highlight is yet another cleanser! I love cleansers and recently tried the Dior La Mousse OFF/ON Foaming Face Cleanser (10). It’s great to take off all makeup (although I still remove eye makeup first with a makeup remover + cotton pad). It has a whipped foam texture and a little goes a very long way. It also adds hydration and moisture back onto the skin so it’s not stripping. I love that it cleans but doesn’t leave my face feeling tight afterwards. Highly recommend!
