  • Tabi November 10, 2010 at 8:23 pm

I love those colors! I'm curious about Le MdB Whisper. Can it be used as a blush or is it more of a sheer highlighter?

  • Gisele November 10, 2010 at 8:33 pm

Such an absolutely gorgeous, stunning, elegant collection of shades and potential looks.

I wish that I could wear them; I'm NW20-25 and these colors disappear on my skin. But for those gals who are lighter and darker, the look is pure luxe but simple too.

I loved this post! How do you wear Gel? I've had it for such a long time but still can't seem to figure out how to make it work on me.

Luminous pearl pinks, irridescent blush pinks, glowing champagne pinks–they're all so pretty. A lovely post, Sabrina.

I love this post, as everyone else does, and I also want to say that I love Eileen's choice of words to describe the colors 🙂 So eloquent, and such a good match for your images, Sabrina 🙂

This is why neutrals can never be boring and you make me need more of these gorgeous shades in my collection. I like how these products can be used all year round. x

I'm with you on the light shimmer shades!! They're lovely

  • Estelle November 11, 2010 at 5:02 pm

Gorgeous!!! I wish I could find a dupe for MAC's Naked pigment. I think it's the most gorgeous color on earth for highlighting, but the SPARKLES! Ugh.

I also have the same question as Tabi about LMdB Whisper – blush or highlight?

  • Fabulous Over 40 November 11, 2010 at 7:22 pm

The Le Metier de Beaute Whisper looks absolutely stunning! Must give that one a try!

  • Makeup Magpie November 11, 2010 at 7:37 pm

Everything looks so beautiful!! 🙂 I find the MAC shades like Gel do wonders to liven up and make some of my darker lipsticks more wearable.

I tried on the Whisper highlighter yesterday after seeing your swatch, and I love it! Thank you so much for the inspiring photos. Also, I've been using Chanel TI liquid after reading about here, and I also love it, but yesterday an SA told me that it is being discontinued. What do you recommend as a substitute?

    Hi Sabrina,
Do happen to know anything about this new nail polish by Chanel which apparently will be called Riva?
    Cheers,
    Carla

Lovely Cham-pale-y post!! These colors look so flattering on your skin tone. The only shade in this family that I wear often and find flattering on my skintone is the Edward Bess Sunlight highlighter. I think I actually like it better than the Afterglow shade..

I've been a bad blogger neglecting all my reader comments. I apologize. Thank you everyone for stopping by – those who asked questions, here are the answers:

Tabi/Estelle – I believe Whisper is more of a highlighter, but now it's currently listed under the Blush Section on Neimans.com.

WillWorkForMakeup – I always use Gel with MAC HoneyB. Lipliner and top it with clear lipglass. By iteself, it's way too pale. HTH some!

Tabi – I heard the same rumor but haven't confirmed. I'm really sad if the Chanel TI is going to be discontinued. I have no substitute. Right now I'm just trying to stock up on a few I hope will last me at least a year.

Carla L – I don't know much about Chanel Riva except check Lacquerized's Blog for swatches and info and also Cafe Makeup for the preview.

I'm a big fan of shimmer nudes/pales as well and all the items looks so gorgeous. They remind me of a photo shoot in a glossy mag haha.

Great job with the post Sabrina.

    gorgeous colors!!!

  • Lizzard November 20, 2010 at 7:36 am

agreed! these are fabulous for a monotone canvas. i have a question – where do you buy your NARS refills? and how much less are they than the regular shadows? thank you!

There is a beautiful Gold/nude that I use for every day use. I always get so many compliments on it. Its from Lancome the color is called Amande Sucree and it comes in a gloss and lipstick. I normally would just use the gloss but every now and then if I really want to draw attention to my lips I'll use both.
