Chanel Collection Rêverie Parisienne Le Vernis in Tenderly, Paradisio and Désirio for Spring 2015

December 18, 2014

This week we are seeing the first signs of spring beauty. Chanel is first to release spring with their stunning Collection Rêverie Parisienne. I have the three new Spring 2015 Le Vernis ($27 each) shades to share with you in Tenderly 641, Paradisio 645 and Désirio 643. All three shades are incredibly beautiful and I’m completely in love. They are listed as limited-edition.

Paradisio 645 is a pale silvery green. It is a metallic shade with brush strokes that are slightly visible. This one has a slight jelly finish making it semi-sheer. There is a slight hint of tiny silver micro sparkles in it making me think of fairy dust when I apply this. Two coats applies smoothly. For more coverage a third coat makes the color more even and more visible. In the bottle it looks more green while on the nails it turns into a silvery champagne with a slight hint of green.

Tenderly 641 is a soft dusty purple. It’s also a semi-sheer color and for me this one is a three-coater. The jelly finish does give it a lush cushy look and with three coats you get a very glossy purple. There is a lightness to the color that makes it more spring-like compared to other purples like Chanel Paradoxal or Marc Jacobs Beauty Julia. However it’s not a pastel lilac which makes it more grown up looking.

Désirio 643 is a cool-toned fuchsia pink plum. It flashes hints of violet and blue but on the nails the shimmer isn’t visible. With a camera flash this one looks a lot brighter and turns pinkish. On the nails it’s more of a deeper mauve pink.

Swatches with two views:

Here are some comparisons I pulled out to swatch:

NARS Disco Inferno (discontinued)
Dior Waterlily (discontinued)
Rescue Beauty Lounge Liberty (discontinued)
Chanel Skyline (discontinued, swatched here)
Tom Ford Black Sugar (discontinued, reviewed here)
Chanel Pulsion (discontinued)
Dior Front Row (reviewed here)

Quick peek from my Instagram:

I spotted the spring collection in store last weekend and it just launched online at Nordstrom and Chanel.com. I suspect it should be hitting all other counters in the US very soon (spring is usually released the week before Christmas). First thoughts are very good. I was underwhelmed by the Chanel holiday releases but the spring collection speaks to my heart. It’s very spring-like and feminine without being too pink or too pastel. I think it’s just perfect.

More from Chanel Spring 2015:

I hope to have the other items swatched and reviewed as soon as possible. Have you checked out the spring collection yet? What’s on your wish list?

Desirio is gorgeous, I'd happily wear it in the spring. I am excited about this collection!

I really need desirio in my life! It's such a gorgeous pink! And yes, the spring collection is actually really nice! I'm not a big fan of all the pastel shades, so it's great that they made this well-balanced collection ^^.

How does Desiro compare to Tentation?

    • Sabrina December 18, 2014 at 2:26 pm

Dior Front Row (review linked above and on nail wheel) is identical to Chanel Tentation.

Aw I'm actually disappointed with these! I would have preferred of Paradiso were opaque since I don't like sheer polish, Tenderly looks pretty dull for a Chanel polish and probably won't flatter my skin tone, and Desirio is….yet another Chanel variation-of-dark-off-pink. They looked so promising in the bottles!! But hey, the blushes and Rouge Coco Shines will hopefully not disappoint!! When we eventually get them in Europe…

Lovely review, thanks Sabrina! At first glance, the Chanel Tenderly reminds me of Essie Merino Cool…curious how they'd compare?

Wishing you a very Happy Holiday!
    Best, Lisa

Desirio is SOOOO pretty!!! I'm glad the plummy/berry trend is continuing next spring, as we're pretty chummy for the moment 🙂

Dior Tenderly is absolutely fabulous! Reminds me of spring.

thanks for the fabulous swatches and review. I have my eye on both Desirio and Tenderly. I gravitate towards colors like Tenderly, so I am wondering how it compares to others in my stash (looks like a lighter, brighter version of Dior Purple Mix, less grey than Essie Merino Cool and OPI Parlez Vous). This one looks like a can't miss shade for me.

I like Desirio. They all are pretty but that is going to be the one shade I know I can pull off 100% on my skin tone.

Chanel Skyline is BEAUTIFUL!!!! too bad it is discontinued.
    thank you for the preview!

Paradisio is gorgeous! Love Tenderly but will skip because it's too close to Dior "Spring 798" and Essie "Merino Cool" (possible dupes?)

    Tenderly is very beautiful!

They are very pretty but I ran to order the blush because it looks so beautiful!

I'm with Bella on this one! Would have been interested in Paradiso if it had been more opaque and the others are not interesting too me. I will be interested to see the rest of the line swatched. We shall see . . . . . . .

Delirio nice but nothing I don't have, I love the dusty shade of Tenderly though

Hi Sabrina, Love your Blog & your aesthetic way of life, it really is something to admire.
I have to say I'm very disappointed with CHANEL's 'Le Vernis' series. It is one of the most expensive products and it stays on for 48 hours, hardly. This is not the kind of standard I am expecting from a great house like CHANEL and as you know, all other products are amazing, best quality, great products all round. But the 'Le Vernis' is a big no no, as far as I'm concerned. Colors are great; Package is good, even the smell is quite nice. But as far as quality is concerned – It is so disappointing I can't think of one good reason why they don't bother to make this product meet the quality of the other CHANEL products. It's like they said to themselves: "Well, we did everything so perfect, let's just make THIS one so mediocre, just for laughs".
