Holiday Gift Guide: Skincare Sets

Holiday Gift Guide Skincare Sets | The Beauty Look Book

Happy Wednesday and hello from Miami! We are here for a few days and I’m thrilled to be visiting for the first time. I have another gift guide today rounding up some skincare gift sets for the holiday. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. I have personally tested everything featured here and can vouch for them as great sets. Of course finding the right one for you or someone you want to gift something to depends on their skin type. With the holiday season it’s nice to try sets out or stock up on favorites because there are often value deals.

What are your favorite skincare sets or skincare items these days? I’m really loving the Caudalie items and Kate Somerville for affordable skincare that still works. Let me know if you have any sets on your wishlist! Right now I’ve got my eye on some 111Skin sheet masks and more things from Sisley. I keep putting things in and out of my online shopping carts!

I purchased the trio of scented MAC prep and primes too and the Glamglow mask trio. I also bought the 3 pack of Glossier the Balmdotcom and 3 MAC lipsticks. Then made 3 gifts out of it, a mask, prep and prime, lipstick and balm for each! They are adorable.

Wow, that’s such a nice gift idea! 🙂

      Such a cute idea 🙂

They all look lovely! I have been loving the ByWishtrend Mandelic acid toner these days! It really helps my skin!

    Love,

I truly envy your shelf space. God, my apartment is so cramped, haha.
I love these shots. They’re so clean and satisfying to look at. 🙂

Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that I can’t fuss too much with my skin and keep trying new products all the time (or even once in a while, to be honest. Sad). It’s better (safer) to stick with what it likes.
One new product I seem to have successfully incorporated recently is the Vintner’s Daughter botanical serum. Good stuff.

Totally unrelated, but I’d appreciate if you could answer it: what is the one By Terry product you swear by, and would recommend? I saw it featured in the picture, and thought of asking. Thanks!

Glenda ~ I agree 100% with you re: Vintner’s Daughter Botanical Serum. I absolutely love it. But that price tag!

      • Glenda December 6, 2017 at 12:17 pm

I know! It pains me too. But then again, I usually don’t shell out that much money on other skincare products (found out that I’m usually just being wasteful, as I’d say 80% of the items I’ve bought either didn’t do much for my skin or totally irritated it), so I’d think splurging on something that actually does work is justifiable. I was actually terrified that I wouldn’t like it when I first bought it, to be very honest. haha
It’s annoying that VD is usually excluded from coupons/discount codes/sales too. Eh, a shame. But it is good.

Hi Glenda – the one By Terry product I love is the Baume de Rose. Any version – pot, wand, tinted are all amazing. Skincare is also good but it has a strong rose scent that I can’t wear all over the face.

I have bought my Replenix green tea and caffeine serum and that is IT!

I’ve been buying the Sephora Favorites winter wonderland sets the last few years. This year’s won’t be my fave though. A couple items are repeats from last year’s set and there’s not as much variety. It’s still a good way to try new brands products.

    • BeautyLookBook December 8, 2017 at 3:39 pm

Bummer! I agree that trying new things is ideal with the sets. Sometimes repeats are kinda meh.

Hi Sabrina ! I really want to try First Aid Beauty products, this set is perfect for me =) Thanks for sharing this gift guide, it helps me ! Khiel’s and Caudalie set will be gifts for friends !

I’ve been gathering Herbivore minis from various sets and holiday deals. Next on my list is to grab the pollution-proof set from REN.

    • BeautyLookBook December 8, 2017 at 3:38 pm

That’s such a great idea, Herbivore is such a great line.

Eve Lom Kiss Mix Duo Cracker packaging is superb,..

  • Alison December 9, 2017 at 12:25 pm

I’ve been all over the MAC minis– great gifts. And the product is also a go-to for using shadows as liners. I like the small size because in the past it has opened when I travelled with it. So the small size is better for travel and keep one at home.

Loving that Eve Lom cracker! Would love to see that in my stocking. I love pretty much anything Tatcha lately.
I got one of the the Drunk Elephant sets which very happy with. I wanted to get a backup of my C serum & for almost the same cost I get to try 3 more of their products in deluxe sizes.

Thanks for the gift guide! Very helpful! I purchased some of your suggestions as gifts but the Omorovicza set will be mine to try. It seems like a good value and a well rounded way to try the brand.
