What's In My Bag | The Beauty Look Book

Happy Friday everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve done a what’s in my bag post on the blog and I thought it might be fun to do a little bag spill. I love seeing what’s in other people’s purses – if I could peek into some of my readers I think it would be fun to see what beauty items you tote around. We’ve been doing lots of beach exploring around St. Pete Beach and Madiera Beach and I’ve been documenting our favorites here and there for an upcoming post. Sunscreen is a 100% must with the hot sun and we are constantly re-applying. My favorite is still the Supergoop! Everyday Sunscreen and Andrew’s favorite is the Kiehl’s Activated Sun Protector Water Light Lotion. Both last a good amount of time even with sweat + humidity. They also absorb nicely into the skin without feeling thick and you can reapply without it feeling like you’ve caked on layers of goop.

What I have in my bag:

What’s in your bag this week? Have a wonderful weekend! New posts coming soon on new launches from Becca, NARS and an eyeshadow palette round up.

My summer staples this week are headed by Tom Ford Lips and Boys Giacomo, the perfect coral lipstick (leans more pink). This lipstick has been in constant use for the last few weeks. Also, Tilbury Wonderglow or Lancer Dani Glowing Skin Perfector (a very expensive multi-purpose product I use under foundation but can be used as highlighter); Tilbury Beauty Glow and Seductive Beauty palettes, plus Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Brown(out). The always indispensable Le Volume de Chanel waterproof in black. That’s it. All the basics needed for the August face.

You carry 3-4 lip choices, that is brave. I carry only two (2) lip choices; Sisley Lip Twist in ‘Baby’ and the other being Clarin’s Lip Oil since you’ve reviewed it. I’m addicted to Clarin’s Lip Oils now in both Honey & Raspberry. I don’t wander out and about to discover much any longer like you do. I only go to the Hair or Nail salon or doctor’s office & I always carry a Cross Body Bag now as I find it nice to shop afterwards for groceries to have both hands free. But, it’s best to bring along the HUB and have a nice lunch or dinner afterwards together. You’re carrying a camera and that is fun, fun fun! Thank you for sharing your purse contents, now I think I’ll pick up the Truffle Clarity Clutch in the mini which will fit nicely in my RL cross body bag.

By the way, you carry no mirror to touch up your Sunscreen, lip choices or powder? You can purchase a Irving RICE mirror in 3 or 5x’s magnification and its only about an 2 inch in diameter within a small case. It fits perfectly inside a small cross body bag. And, you carry no hair brush or comb for your hair? That is the nice part about having long hair that flows in the breezes.
