L'Occitane Divine Cream Grand Cru Edition

I’ve been such a long-time fan of L’Occitane skincare and I’m excited to partner with them to share a look at their Immortelle Divine Cream Grand Cru Edition. They’ve created this special launch to celebrate 10 Years of this classic cream. Bigger and better than the original Divine Cream, this limited-edition product packs in even more anti-aging power thanks to the use of highly concentrated Immortelle essential oils.

The L’Occitane Immortelle line has been one of my favorites for years. I love the cleanser and oil and think the line is especially good for the fall and winter season or if you have dry skin. The Immortelle Divine Cream is one of the most beautiful luxury creams I’ve tried for restoring hydration, firmness and improving elasticity of the skin. It has been a go-to for many fall seasons for me and a single jar lasts a long time. What makes the Immortelle Divine Cream Grand Cru Edition so special is that it contains essential oils from 800 Immortelle flowers that were harvested in a limited batch during the summer solstice. This provides the highest concentration of anti-aging ingredients and I find that a little goes a very long way!

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream

For me this is a great anti-aging cream to help smooth fine lines, replump the skin, restore hydration and glow. The texture is super smooth, blends into the skin flawlessly, absorbs quickly and dries down to a soft finish where I can still feel the moisture but not in a super heavy way. I can use this day or night, it’s perfect anytime my skin feels super dry and it is easy to incorporate and switch it in or out of your skincare routine anytime.

If you’re looking for a new moisturizer to try for the upcoming fall season I highly recommend you check out the Immortelle Divine Cream Grand Cru Edition.

Refreshing Hydration with the L’Occitane Aqua Reotier Collection

June 1, 2018

New L’Occitane Aqua Reotier Collection Skincare

As warmer weather approaches I’ve found myself switching things up in skincare with products that will keep skin clean, fresh but also well hydrated. The new L’Occitane Aqua Reotier Collection does just that with five easy-to-use options with a water-based line. The skincare contains three key ingredients: hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and calcium-rich Réotier spring water. I’ve partnered with L’Occitane to put the collection to the test. I have been such a fan of L’Occitane skincare as a whole so was really excited to try their new launch. I even brought everything with me on my recent trip to NYC.

_____________________

The Aqua Reotier Water Gel Cleanser is my favorite item in the collection. It’s a foaming gel cleanser that lathers well and cleans the skin without any stripping. I find this perfect after workouts because it leaves the skin feeling calmer and refreshed. There’s no film left but the skin feels well hydrated and clean. It has a gentle aqua fresh scent that is not irritating.

The Aqua Reotier Moisture Prep Essence is something they recommend as Step Two in using this line. You can also incorporate it into your regular skincare routine with other products. It’s a plumping essence that helps prepare the skin to absorb moisturizer better. A little goes a very long way so you only need a tiny bit to apply all over the face. This is a step I often neglect in skincare in general but every time I use an essence I always tell myself I should do it more often. Skin is left noticeably softer and moisturizer adheres and absorbs into the skin better.

Step 3 is a moisturizer and they have two options including the Aqua Reotier Thirst-Quenching Cream or Aqua Reotier Thirst-Quenching Gel. The cream is better for normal to dry skin or if you need extra moisture at night. It’s a softer cream that melts into the skin and leaves a nice veil of moisture all over. My preference is for the gel which contains micro-bubbles that burst once you apply on the skin. It has a nice medium to lightweight feel which has been perfect for humid Florida weather. It also wears well under my foundations.

I’m one of the biggest suckers for face mists, especially ones with good packaging and the Aqua Reotier Fresh Moisturizing Mist does not disappoint. It spritzes a super fine even mist. The spray can be a quick burst or a little more continuous if you want to cover your whole face. It’s nicely hydrating without feeling heavy and doesn’t leave you looking too dewy.

Bottom line perfect for the upcoming warmer months. The products are light enough to be suitable for warm temperatures but still have enough moisture to keep skin well hydrated. I don’t think I’ll be able to live without the cleanser or face mist. You can find all the items at L’Occitane and there is a value set available as well. Stay tuned for more on my NY trip including a look at their Flatiron Flagship Store!

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Skincare Collection for Glowing Skin

The L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Collection has been a long-time go-to for me in skincare. I’ve used their Immortelle Divine Youth Oil for years and have been thrilled every time I learn they have expanded the collection. As much as I love switching up skincare and trying new things I find that the Immortelle Divine Youth Oil and Immortelle Divine Cream are among my top picks for glowing radiant skin. I reviewed some new additions last fall. I’ve continued to use the collection in my regular skincare routine and have since had a chance to try a couple more things. Today I’m teaming up with L’Occitane to share a few favorites along with two new discoveries.

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Eyes vs Divine Eye Balm

For the eyes I’ve really liked the Immortelle Divine Eyes for a gentle lightweight eye treatment. It’s like a lotion so it doesn’t feel heavy and is nice to wear for the day. For me it does a really nice job at reducing puffiness. It helps smooth out any fine lines and is gently hydrating. I also like that it doesn’t run or sting the eyes and the fact that it comes with a nice pump dispenser. I’ve recently started testing the Immortelle Divine Eye Balm which is richer and offers more hydration. I love this one at night.

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Eyes vs Divine Eye Balm

For cleansers I’ve already used up several bottles of the Immortelle Divine Foaming Cleanser. It’s a nice gentle everyday cleanser that leaves the skin feeling smooth and soft. Many of you have asked for makeup remover recommendations and I like their Immortelle Oil Make-Up Remover for a gentle cleansing oil, but their Immortelle Cleansing Balm is my absolute favorite. It’s a balm-in-oil that melts once you massage it into dry skin. It removes all traces of face makeup and has moisturizing properties so your skin doesn’t feel stripped. I often use this as a first step cleanser instead of a cleansing oil. The solid/gel balm is less runny than a traditional cleansing oil and easier for me to use.

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm Makeup Remover

Last I’ve added the Immortelle Divine Serum into my routine. I had just been using the Cream during the day and Oil at night. Adding a serum is a step I usually neglect but it really makes a huge difference in helping the skin absorb moisturizer better. This Immortelle Divine Serum is a concentrated formula with immortelle essential oil. It’s soft and dries to a soft velvety finish. For my skin I’ve started to develop fine lines and I feel like this serum really helps soften them and firms up the skin on my forehead and chin area. You can use this in conjunction with both the cream or oil.

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Youth Serum, Youth Oil and Cream

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Skincare Collection

If I could recommend just one thing, it would be the Immortelle Divine Youth Oil. I love using it at night. It’s one of my favorites for dry skin and it absorbs nicely into the skin so it doesn’t feel heavy. I’m also really smitten with their eye care products. Eye creams and balms are something I often neglect because I find most too heavy, these absorb nicely into the skin without feeling heavy. They have just the right amount of moisture to hydrate the skin and soften fine lines. Bottom line a solid go-to for my regular skincare routine. I can’t wait to see what new launches they add to the line!

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Skincare Collection

A few other L’Occitane favorites I swear by:

What are your favorites from L’Occitane? Have you tried anything from the Immortelle Divine collection yet?

L'Occitane Divine Collection Skincare Immortelle Oil | The Beauty Look Book

I’ve been a long-time fan of the L’Occitane Divine Youth Oil and Youth Cream for the gentle yet effective anti-aging properties. This fall season they reformulated their Divine Youth Oil to increase the concentration of Immortelle essential oils to improve the anti-aging properties. L’Occitane has also expanded the Divine Skincare Collection with new cleansers and I’m thrilled to have been able to get an early peek at them to put to the test. I have five items featured today. For those new to my blog I’ll give you a little background on my skin type and concerns. I’m in my mid-30’s and have sensitive but otherwise normal skin. I’m extremely sensitive to many kinds of fragrance and any kind of reaction (to scent, ingredients etc.) usually happens immediately. I’ve used L’Occitane since I was a freshman in college starting with their Shea Butter hand creams and cuticle treatments, ventured into their body treatments and then skincare. They’ve consistently been a favorite for natural gentle and effective formulas for my skin type. For most of my life I lived in Southern California where there was mild but warm climate and the Divine Youth Oil was perfect for cooler weather and also for times I felt dry. I currently live in Florida where the heat and humidity are pretty high but I’ve still experienced dryness due to the water. My primary concerns are anti-aging, finding something lightweight but with enough moisture to hydrate the skin, and also finding cleansers that will remove all traces of sweat, makeup and dirt at the end of the day.

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Youth Oil Review | The Beauty Look Book

The Immortelle Divine Youth Oil has been a long-time go-to and the new formula is just as good as the original. It has a lightweight soothing natural earthy scent to it, absorbs quickly into the skin and makes all tightness (if you are dry) disappear. On me it’s instantly soothing and hydrating with a good dry down but still has that soft emollient feel. Skin feels noticeably more plump and smooth. It’s one of my favorite oils ever.

______________

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream Review | The Beauty Look Book

The Immortelle Divine Youth Cream is also one of my favorite face moisturizers because it has a very soft consistency. This one also absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn’t leave any heavy or goopy residue. It leaves the skin looking like it has a natural glow and it’s compatible with the different formulas of foundation that I use. In general I’m more of a cream person than an oil person for day so if I had to pick one, I’d probably opt for the cream over the oil.

______________

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Eyes Review | The Beauty Look Book

The Immortelle Divine Eyes isn’t new, but it’s new to me. My personal favorite eye treatment has actually been the Immortelle Precious Eye Balm, but I love trying all kinds of eye treatments. The Immortelle Divine Eyes comes with a nice pump that dispenses just the right amount of product for me to cover both eyes (I only use a tiny bit). It’s a creamy gel formula that has a lightweight feel. Often times I can’t use the rich formulas for eye cream because they run into my eyes and sting them. This one has a light enough texture that it sets within a few minutes and make the skin feel smoother and softer.

______________

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm | The Beauty Look Book

There are two new cleansers this season for a double cleanse routine including the Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm (in a jar) and Cleansing Foam (comes in a squeeze tube). The Divine Cleansing Balm is a super hydrating balm-in-oil formula that you massage into the skin to remove makeup. Once you work it in a circular motion on the face it transforms into an oil. It removes all face makeup (I still use a regular eye makeup remover to remove mascara and eyeliner first) and almost feels like a mask treatment after you rinse. L’Occitane recommends using the Cleansing Foam after as a double cleanse to further remove impurities from the skin. I’ve tried both together and also separately. In the mornings I find I can just use the Cleansing Foam. In the evenings I like the double cleanse routine to completely clean the skin. It’s something I do anyways as I wear makeup pretty much everyday and with the long-wear formulas I find double cleansing essential to fully cleanse the skin.

L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cleansing Foam

As a beauty blogger I love putting new things to the test but I still like to have a routine. The nice thing about brands like L’Occitane is that you can easily incorporate one or two new items into your morning or nightly skincare rituals without having to overhaul your entire routine. As cooler weather approaches I always have to switch things up a bit as my skin adjusts to temperature changes. I start using oils more frequently and if you’re looking for a nice gentle one I highly recommend giving the L’Occitane Divine Youth Oil a try for glowing skin.

L’Occitane Harmonie Divine Skincare Collection

November 22, 2016

L'Occitane Harmonie Divine Collection Serum and Cream

Earlier this fall L’Occitane launched the Harmonie Divine Collection which includes a serum and cream designed to combat signs of aging. This line combines two natural and rare ingredients from earth and sea including oils from the Immortelle Millésimée flower and extracts of Jania Rubens a red algae. The two ingredients work together to improve skin texture and elasticity with the smoothing effects of the flower oil and rejuvenating abilities of the red algae. I’ve incorporated both the Serum and Cream into my daily skincare routine over the past month and love the comforting and nourishing feel it has on my skin. After regular use my skin feels more balanced and smooth. Fine lines on my forehead have started to soften. Texture has improved as well and the skin has an overall brighter appearance.

L’Occitane describes harmony as “a happy relationship between the parts of a whole, beyond a simple balance” and I think L’Occitane’s definition is spot on. This collection gives a harmonious skincare experience from texture, scent and effect. If I could describe the line in one word it would be “comforting.”

A few notes on ingredients and sourcing from L’Occitane:

  • “Both Immortelle Millésimée and Jania Rubens are sourced from the island of Corsica, where the sun drenches the soil and makes for some of the highest concentration of active molecules.
  • Immortelle Millésimée essential oil boasts warm colors and floral notes, and contains an optimal, more potent concentration of active molecules due to the sun saturation and climatic influences of the region. With only several acres of land for Immortelle Millésimée harvesting, the limited quantity makes for very precious oil.
  • For the first-time in our history, L’Occitane performed exclusive sourcing from Revelatta’s Bay in Corsica for red algae Jania Rubens. The preserved area within the Mediterranean Sea fosters more sun, great temperature and a smooth sea surface that allows sun rays to better enter the water, which allows for the continuous regeneration and replication of the red algae organism.
  • Based on this natural regeneration, L’Occitane created the first sustainable growing program under controlled laboratory conditions with no impact or destruction on the nature of the algae to develop the natural extract found in Harmonie Divine products.”

Up first is the Harmonie Divine Serum ($220 for 1 fl oz). This is a serum that encapsulates 5,000 micro-drops of Immortelle Millésimée oil in each bottle. The oils capsules are suspended in the serum to keep them in their pure state. The serum portion contains the Jania Rubens algae. Both ingredients are combined when you pump/dispense the product. The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin. The immediate effect is brightening and smoothing – something you can even notice if you test this on the back of your hand.

L'Occitane Harmonie Divine SerumL'Occitane Harmonie Divine Serum

The L’Occitane Harmonie Divine Cream ($198 for 1.7 fl oz) is a unique cream-to-oil formula that is like a cushion for the skin. It has a soft cream texture that transforms into a soft oil upon contact with the skin. When massaged into the skin, the face feels very smooth and hydrated. Using both the serum and cream in conjunction with each other gives a higher concentration of the ingredients and therefore yields better anti-aging results. The packaging is well designed as there is a protective cap hinged onto the container so it won’t get lost or misplaced. This helps keep the product as fresh as possible. There’s a very soft and natural scent to it which gives a calming effect.

L'Occitane Harmonie Divine CreamL'Occitane Harmonie Divine CreamL'Occitane Harmonie Divine Cream

The two combined create a truly harmonious skincare experience:

L'Occitane Harmonie Divine Collection

Finding good soothing skincare suitable for sensitive is a challenge but L’Occitane is one line I’ve been able to rely on for years. They use natural ingredients that are gentle but still effective. In using the Harmonie Divine line for over a month the past weeks I’ve noticed a visible difference in having skin that is brighter and more plump. In addition those fine lines on my forehead have started to soften and I have high hopes that continued use will reduce the fine lines even more. The price points are on the high side but the serum and cream deliver visible results and I highly recommend you give them a try. Overall I am really pleased with the way it makes my skin feels, plus the soft and natural way it smells adds to the harmonious experience on a daily basis for morning and night.

You can find the Divine Harmonie Collection in stores and online at L’Occitane. Have you tried this line yet? What did you think?

Youthful Glowing Skin with L’Occitane

February 22, 2016

When it comes to daily skincare, my main focus is on finding items that are anti-aging and that will help maintain the skin’s natural glow. Keeping the skin smooth and healthy looking are my primary concerns and I’ve been loving the Divine Collection and Immortelle Skincare lines from L’Occitane to keep my skin glowing. My current skincare routine has included a mix of their beauty oils, creams and balms that I find perfect to add just the right amount of hydration while smoothing the skin and improving the complexion. The Divine Cream and Divine Youth Oil are really good at helping transform the overall texture of the skin. With regular use these both have been instrumental at restoring my skin’s natural radiance. The Immortelle items such as the Immortelle Precious Mist and Immortelle Precious Eye Balm are more preventative in treatment for emerging wrinkles. Both also are really good for revitalizing and refreshing the skin.

Items I’ve been loving and incorporating daily:

Divine Cream is a lightweight cream moisturizer and has been my daily go-to for months now. It has a smooth texture and very natural light scent to it (it smells like very soft flowers). Each jar contains nearly a hundred Immortelle flowers and the oils give my skin a natural radiant youthful glow. The cream is an anti-aging formula and designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, leaving skin smooth and luminous. I have normal combination skin that needs just a little bit of moisture for day to day. This one is just perfect in terms of texture and it’s non-irritating. It absorbs quickly but has enough moisture to make the skin feel well hydrated. Regular use of this has helped balance the skin and smooth texture. I like that it works well with a wide range of foundations – it won’t break down your makeup but still keeps the skin feeling moisturized and healthy throughout the day.

The Divine Youth Oil is something I’ve been using for over a year and it’s one of my top three favorite facial oils of all time. A little goes a very long way and as someone who usually finds beauty oils too rich, this one is perfect in texture. It’s not too light and not too rich. I like to use this anytime I’m feeling tightness in the skin or I start to feel the
slightest bit of irritation. It works wonders to calm the skin and restore moisture. When I use it at night, the next morning my skin glows with a noticeably brighter look and firmer feel. It helps reduce the look of fine lines that creep in when my skin gets dry. It definitely feels like youth in a bottle to me, I love that it hydrates the skin and has an almost velvety finish. Lasts all day without getting too dewy.

Immortelle Precious Eye Balm is probably the most impressive skincare item I’ve tried from L’Occitane. I’m in my mid-30’s and don’t have under eye wrinkles yet, but I know using preventive skincare is key. The Immortelle Precious Eye Balm is hands down the most impressive eye treatment I’ve used. It gives the skin an instant brightened look and provides an immediate refreshing awakened feel. It has that same effect that eye masks have in terms of giving your eyes a little spa treatment, but in a balm form. The texture is creamy and almost gel-like. It absorbs quickly and feels incredible – for me it had an instant wow factor from the very first time I tested it out. If you try one thing new from L’Occitane, definitely check out this Eye Balm. It gives life to the skin.

Another favorite that has been featured on the before is the Immortelle Precious Mist. I love a good face mist and this one is one of my favorites because it’s refreshing and hydrating. I like that the mister dispenses an ultra fine mist evenly across the face. This one has the same soothing soft floral scent as other Immortelle products. I love how gentle it is and it’s one of the best facial pick-me-up for mid-day that I’ve tried.

Last but not least, if you’re into the double cleansing routine and are looking for a cleansing oil that is gentle and hydrating, the Immortelle Oil-Makeup Remover is one I think you should try. I find one pump is enough for the entire face. It has a smooth velvety texture that emulsifies really well with warm water. It will remove waterproof eyeliner and cream shadows, although I still prefer to remove eye makeup separately (it’s just easier for me). After rinsing I find it removes all traces of foundation, powder, concealer and blush without stripping the skin.

If you’re looking for something to add some radiance and glow to your skincare routine, I highly recommend you check out some of the items from the L’Occitane Immortelle range. If you’re like me and use a wide range of brands for skincare, I found the L’Occitane items easy to incorporate and mix into my daily routine. The items are gentle but effective at reducing emerging signs of wrinkles and in particular helping restore and maintain a youthful glow. My top two favorites right now are the Divine Cream and Immortelle Precious Eye Balm.

You can find all the items right now at L’Occitane stores and online at usa.loccitane.com.
What’s your skincare routine like right now? As always I’d love to hear about what you’re loving or testing out right now. Do you have any go-to’s to maintain a natural youthful glow?

This post was sponsored by L’Occitane, but as always, all opinions my own.
