As warmer weather approaches I’ve found myself switching things up in skincare with products that will keep skin clean, fresh but also well hydrated. The new L’Occitane Aqua Reotier Collection does just that with five easy-to-use options with a water-based line. The skincare contains three key ingredients: hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and calcium-rich Réotier spring water. I’ve partnered with L’Occitane to put the collection to the test. I have been such a fan of L’Occitane skincare as a whole so was really excited to try their new launch. I even brought everything with me on my recent trip to NYC.

The Aqua Reotier Water Gel Cleanser is my favorite item in the collection. It’s a foaming gel cleanser that lathers well and cleans the skin without any stripping. I find this perfect after workouts because it leaves the skin feeling calmer and refreshed. There’s no film left but the skin feels well hydrated and clean. It has a gentle aqua fresh scent that is not irritating.

The Aqua Reotier Moisture Prep Essence is something they recommend as Step Two in using this line. You can also incorporate it into your regular skincare routine with other products. It’s a plumping essence that helps prepare the skin to absorb moisturizer better. A little goes a very long way so you only need a tiny bit to apply all over the face. This is a step I often neglect in skincare in general but every time I use an essence I always tell myself I should do it more often. Skin is left noticeably softer and moisturizer adheres and absorbs into the skin better.

Step 3 is a moisturizer and they have two options including the Aqua Reotier Thirst-Quenching Cream or Aqua Reotier Thirst-Quenching Gel. The cream is better for normal to dry skin or if you need extra moisture at night. It’s a softer cream that melts into the skin and leaves a nice veil of moisture all over. My preference is for the gel which contains micro-bubbles that burst once you apply on the skin. It has a nice medium to lightweight feel which has been perfect for humid Florida weather. It also wears well under my foundations.

Quick look at the texture of the gel vs. cream:

I’m one of the biggest suckers for face mists, especially ones with good packaging and the Aqua Reotier Fresh Moisturizing Mist does not disappoint. It spritzes a super fine even mist. The spray can be a quick burst or a little more continuous if you want to cover your whole face. It’s nicely hydrating without feeling heavy and doesn’t leave you looking too dewy.

Bottom line perfect for the upcoming warmer months. The products are light enough to be suitable for warm temperatures but still have enough moisture to keep skin well hydrated. I don’t think I’ll be able to live without the cleanser or face mist. You can find all the items at L’Occitane and there is a value set available as well. Stay tuned for more on my NY trip including a look at their Flatiron Flagship Store!

I grabbed a sample of the gel cream from the store and love it! Too many moisturizers right now have a huge long list of ingredients and I’m always allergic or reactive to one of them. So nice to have something on the market that focuses on just being a good moisturizer and that’s it.
Nice! The gel moisturizer really is nice and gentle enough for my sensitive skin!
Love the look and sound of this! Will definitely have to try!
Let me know what you think if you end up trying it!
L’occitane has one of the most spa-like packagings out there. So glad to see more Western brands launching essences!
Me too! Sorry I’m so behind on replying to comments! What are your favorite essences?
These photos are so gorgeous! Love the sound of this range! x

Thank you Millie!
OMG I want all of these. I have so much trouble in the summer finding a balance between hydrating my skin and feeling like my skincare is too heavy so this sounds perfect for me.
It really is nice for warmer weather.
Skincare genuinely excites me! This collection sounds amazing. I especially love the sound of the moisturiser and moisturising mist. I’ve never tried a moisturising mist before.

Interesting! I feel like there are a lot of hydrating mist options!
I haven’t tried a moisturizing mist before either. Would you consider doing a post reviewing your faves?
The cleanser is wonderful and does a great job of removing the day’s sweat (it was hot here in SoCal today), grime, pollutants, sunscreen, and makeup. The gel foams up nicely, but not excessively, and then it rinses off cleanly and easily leaving my dry, sensitive, mature (old!) skin feeling smooth, soothed, and soft. Even though I use Chanel biphase eye makeup remover, I was surprised when the gel cleanser still removed some residual mascara. One pump of the gel does the job. I’m thinking half a pump with plenty of water will make a nice morning cleanser.
As for the Thirst Quenching Gel, it is not intended for über dry skin like mine, but the generous sample I received made a lovely hydrating mask that did not irritate. I applied it generously on clean skin and just relaxed for about 15-20 minutes. I then gently rinsed off the excess with cool water and applied my usual heavy duty skin care. My skin looked amazing! I’ll definitely be doing that again 😃
I’m all about the gel cleanser 🙂
This line sounds great for my combo skin and light enough to use for summer!
The gel moisturizer is really nice!
