As promised I pulled some other cream shadows to compare to the Tom Ford Beauty Summer shadow duos. Many thanks to my savvy readers who already knew some of the creams were duplicates (or repeats) of prior limited-edition shades. There are a couple colors that keep selling out online but are available for back order. If you want all shades, you may have to shop around. My local counter had all of their Naked Bronze and Golden Peach reserved via pre-sales. I’ve compiled a list to help save you time from clicking around (note this is subject to change as items sell out):
- Saks Fifth Avenue has all four shades available now (as of 10:00 AM PST)
- Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Nordstrom have all shades now with Golden Peach on backorder until mid-May
- Bloomingdales has all the shades on pre-order
- Tom Ford online lists each shade with a different status (in stock, pre-order, find in-store)
Above shown Top Row, left to right:
- Chanel Emerville Illusion D’Ombre
- Tom Ford Pink Haze (discontinued, reviewed here)
- Tom Ford Golden Peach
- Tom Ford Naked Bronze
- Tom Ford Spice (discontinued, but has made a comeback once, review)
Bottom Row, left to right:
- Tom Ford Black Oyster
- Chanel Mirifique I’llusion D’Ombre (reviewed here)
- Tom Ford Midnight Sea
- Tom Ford Spring 2015 (limited-edition, reviewed here)
Swatches:
My conclusion is that the new summer duos do indeed include repeats of previously released cream shadows from Tom Ford. If you already own Spice, Pink Haze and the Golden Mink Quad (I don’t own this but I swatched in store to compare), you can skip Golden Peach and Naked Bronze if you want to avoid dupes. The Spring 2015 Cream Shadow is really close to Midnight Sea but not an exact dupe when you look at it in person. The summer duo is slightly lighter in color while the spring shade is a bit deeper. I really like the concept of the new summer Cream & Powder pots because of the packaging and having two shades in one compact for convenience (plus the mirror to apply if you’re on the go or need to touch up before going out).
Hope this helps! Did you buy or test out any of the Tom Ford summer duos yet? If yes, which ones and what are your thoughts so far?
The Tom Ford Summer Duos were provided as press samples for review consideration. All other items purchased by me.

I've been hesitant to pick up a duo because I snagged the palette, though I've had my eye on Golden Peach. I may have to give in.
By the way, I ordered my palette from BG with a backorder date of 5/4 and it shipped out 4/24, so hopefully things keep shipping out a bit earlier than expected!
Thank you for letting me know Kylee, so glad you got you palette!!
Thanks for the comparisons!
Wowww these look amazing!! Seeing loads of posts about the TF Summer collection, definitely need to get my hands on some of these! Lovely post. x

On counter yesterday in UK even the TF girls didn't know that Spice, Pink Haze and Spring were repromoted in the pots so I was extremely grateful to your site for informing me a few days ago or I would have bought all four. As it is I still might go back for Midnight Sea because seeing it on the flesh so to speak…..it's just so pretty layered up an not like anything else I have. Off topic slightly but I had my TF Pink Sand cream blush on today and my husband said 'your skin looks all juicy'. So there you have it, a husband who has noticed a blusher and it's amazing qualities.
I was very surprised to receive my TF order yesterday and have been oohing and aahing over my selections ever since :-). Needless to say, the next few days, weeks, months (LOL) will be full time Ford 🙂 It's the quintessential summertime collection and I'm sure all of us who live in coastal areas will agree that it perfectly captures the essence of our gorgeous summer days and warm balmy nights–fun and sexy. And one of the things I really love about TF Summer is that it is so versatile and effortless. You can do a minimal sunkissed look, go for a bronzed goddess, become a sultry vixen, do whatever you want with just a few key pieces. And, the quality doesn't disappoint. The pieces I've tried so far have all deliverd on beauty, functionality, and performance.
My order included Black Oyster. I have the other three shades, but now that I've seen how Black Oyster works, I'm going to try them with some of my other celestial shades. I've often worn Pink Haze with a light pressing of the glitter from In The Pink or Cognac Sable so I don't know why I didn't think about using Golden Mink for Spice. Duh! So, thank you for that suggestion, Sabrina. As for Spring 2015, I have blue eyeshadows but that's not remotely the same as using the incredible "adult glitter" TF puts in his celestial shades. Although I really like Spring 2015 all on its own, the turquoise overlay creates a color and shimmery look that reminds me of a mermaid! That might be one I just need to purchase. Ah, Tom Ford! The things you make me do! LOL
All of them look pretty but I love Naked Bronze. That one is beautiful!
