What's In My Bag

Inside My Bag

November 29, 2014

Inside my Prada Saffiano tote (similar color here, similar style here):

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustres in Seduction and Sweet Stiletto (reviewed here)
Frederic Malle Travel Spray in Carnal Flower
Canon G16 Camera
Key ring and small wallet by Louis Vuitton

I’m a huge fan of the pouches and clutches by Truffle.
I have multiples now in different colors and styles and love how they really help keep
things streamlined and organized in my purses. They just released a few additions in Nude, Black and Rose Gold. They are a bit of a
splurge, but I feel they are well worth the price because they are well-made and very sturdy. Right now Truffle is offering 25% off your entire
purchase with code HOLIDAY25 at checkout (it ends on Monday December 1st).

The Privacy Clutches are also good for on-the-go. If you don’t want to lug around your purse and just want to carry the essentials, it will fit quite a bit but still keep everything streamlined (see what I fit in the Blush version back in August).

Sometimes I’ll carry multiples in my purses that don’t have compartments. They are pretty good at staying flat and keeping their shape so it keeps everything streamlined.

P.S. If you’re like me and have been eyeing Charlotte Tilbury items you might want to look into the holiday offer at Beautylish. They are offering a $20 gift card for every $100 you spend (also ends on Monday).

What’s in your bag right now? How do you keep your bag organized or streamlined. I usually tend to throw things in each day of the week so by the weekend it gets heavy and messy. Compartments help keep me organized but not all of my bags have separators.
Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving and that you are enjoying the weekend! I spent the last 3 days sick in bed with a bad cold, but my fever broke and I am starting to feel more like myself this afternoon.

The Black Privacy Clutch was gifted by Truffle without charge, all other items purchased by me.

Yikes! Hope you are feeling much better! I'm not super organized with my bag, mostly I keep in one pocket a few lip balms and something with color like the Dior Baume Rouge or some Nars lip pencil. Easy to put on so I can go out. Maybe I should invest in a Truffle clutch for less of a mess.

Hi Evelyn, thanks for the kind wishes 🙂 I think the truffle pouches are definitely worth looking into 🙂

First of all that bag is gorgeous, and second of all I love how organized your bag is.

Thanks Arnella! It gets messy quickly so I'm constantly struggling to keep everything organized, I think I need to find purses with more compartments, lol.

For my less structured bags and totes, I use a linen organizer plus smaller sleeves similar to Truffle. Are you familiar with the Mai Tai Collection? The inserts are designed to fit into Hermes bags (Birkin, Kelly, and Picotin). I use a Birkin insert in my Celine Cabas, which gives the perfect amount of structure to the otherwise floppy bag. Here is the link: http://www.maitaihomecollection.com/2013/05/organizer-and-insert-for-hermes-35.html
Mai Tai Collection products are very high quality; I have several items, all of which are made in France. Shipping is very fast and they arrive beautifully packaged. It is a delight to work with her.
    Happy holidays. Sabrina!

I've got several of the Truffle clutches on your recommendation…one each privacy and clarity clutches and two of the clarity pouches. I have to say I'm tempted by the percent off…I may get the privacy clutch in black (already have pink)! They are expensive, but the quality is excellent!

    • Sabrina December 2, 2014 at 6:15 pm

Yay! I'm so glad to hear you like them, yes they are pricey but I really like the quality. Finding a simple sleek no-fuss solid leather clutch is harder than I would expect. I love the pink one too, I like that it's girly but not too girly.

I like the idea of having everything in pouches so you can transfer purses easily.

I love your organizational system. Usually, I just carry lipstick and -glosses in my purse and since I need them fast, I don't put them in a pouch. I should though. Opening the zipper of a clutch seems like an extra step I cannot take 🙂 Hope you are feeling better.

Purse organization…what is this unicorn you speak of??? I'm glad you're feeling better and isn't the whole "my fever has finally broken" thing just the best feeling?! I was sick on the days leading up to Thanksgiving and the day itself, so of course now that I'm feeling better…..I come to work and everybody else is now sick.

    • Sabrina December 2, 2014 at 6:17 pm

Hi Kica your comments always make me smile. I'm better now, sorry to hear you were sick leading up to Thanksgiving too. I've been healthy and haven't been sick for a solid 7 months, then all of a sudden it hit.

Hopefully you don't catch something new. Few things are worse than being surrounded by an office of people who have different kinds of colds!
