EdwardBess.com Promotion on Ultra Slick Lipsticks, July 22nd

July 21, 2010
I was notified by Susan from Edward Bess that the Ultra Slick lipsticks are featured in the August Issue of O, The Oprah Magazine and that they are running a promotion for 40% off Edward Bess lipsticks tomorrow, July 22nd from 12:01 am to 11:59 pm on EdwardBess.com. Check out the link to The O List – Magazine Deals and Special Offers here.

The code to provide at checkout is OPRAH as listed on the deals website and magazine. The offer is good online only at EdwardBess.com and runs for one day. As a disclaimer, I am in no way affiliated with this promotion, nor do I benefit from this in any way.

Those wondering about the shades, I have written a number of articles about his line. There a number of other great blogs out there such as The Non-Blonde and London Makeup Girl who love his products as well. I hope these links will be helpful to you:

Happy Shopping!

Thanks for the heads up! I've been meaning to try his lippies for a while now and this is a perfect time to do so.

Just a quick question, do you know how much shipping from his website is? It's not stated anywhere…

woohoo! Thank you for the info! now I can try these without feeling too guilty =)

Do you know if it's 12:01EST?

  • Sabrina July 22, 2010 at 2:15 am

    Jamie – thank you!

Cewek – I've never ordered from the website before so I'm not really sure. I thought it was around $9 for UPS ground? But that was before the website revamp. I'm not sure if it's still the same.

    CT – I don't know, sorry!

    code is working =)

Thanks, Sabrina. I was able to order a couple of the lipsticks that I had been thinking about. It's always nice to save money $:-)

I can hardly wait to see what he's going to be bringing out this fall. The Bergdorf ladies are gladly offering to send swatches of his new products. I'm especially interested in learning more about his new cream to powder foundation. I hope he'll have a shade that I can wear. How are you doing with the Burberry foundation?

OMG – I'm excited about this. I am wondering what color I should get. What would you recommend for me (NC42)…any suggestions??

  • Sabrina July 22, 2010 at 4:57 pm

Eileen – still testing it out! It wears beautifully but I have little bumps on my face now. Not sure if it's the new Dior cream I'm using, remnants of a slight reaction to Chanel skincare used on my makeover, or if it's the foundation.

Lexi – I think all the shades I have would work. My top 3 picks for you would be Forbidden Flower, Forever Yours and Secret Desire.

You're the best! I can't wait to finally get these! Hurray!!

  • shannon July 22, 2010 at 8:54 pm

Wow, I was really excited to order one until I discovered that shipping is $13!! I'm sorry, but that is absurd – there is no way it should cost that much to ship a lipstick. Oh well.

  • Eileen July 22, 2010 at 11:36 pm

Re: $12.75 Shipping. That seems to be the current flat rate no matter how many or how few items you're ordering. I usually wait until there are several things I want before placing my order. It's a bit more cost effective that way. But all of you who question the legitimacy of such an outlandish shipping cost are absolutely right to do so. We all know it doesn't cost nearly that much to ship one or two small, light items. Shipping costs is the one area that dear Edward did not do well 🙁

  • Katie July 23, 2010 at 12:15 am

OMG $12.75 for Ground Shipping for a tube of lipstick – WHATEVER.
I was all set to order Forbidden Flower – until I realized that shipping practically put it back up to a $32 lipstick. NO WAY.

  • Katie July 23, 2010 at 12:29 am

OMG – I just bought it anyway. Couldn't resist. This better be my favorite lipstick ever…. I think it might be…. eek. Can't believe I just forked over 13 bucks for shipping.

  • Nancy July 23, 2010 at 9:39 am

I completely agree with the absurd price of shipping comments. I ordered anyway. I guess the 40% off could just be seen as free shipping since I only purchased Forbidden Flower. Thanks for the swatches!

I ultimately passed on this. I didn't feel like spending the $12+ on shipping. Oh well, I'll be going to the counter in person anyway this September I can wait!
