Tsumori Chisato for Shu Uemura Highlighter & Lipstick

November 2, 2009

This year’s holiday collection from Shu Uemura was designed by Japanese fashion designer Tsumori Chisato featuring a “wish upon a star” theme with the most adorable stars and cat design.

I was smitten with the Highlighter Duo which comes in a cute mirrored compact with a cat design imprinted on the powder. The shimmer is finely milled and has decent pigment but isn’t too sparkley.

The Jupitor Brown lipstick also caught my attention because of the packaging. It’s not quite as brown as it looks on the Shu Uemura website and goes on a sheer rosey-brownish color. It has golden shimmer which makes it look slightly peachy in the photograph. It comes in the unlimited formula which has a slightly glossy finish on the lips. There are 2 other lipsticks for the collection, but unfortunately, I believe they are an Asia exclusive.

The 2 items I picked up with pictures of the packaging:

There were a couple eye/cheek palettes I passed on. The glow on blushes in each palette were pretty, but the combination of colors just weren’t me. Check out the rest of the collection on Shu Uemura’s Website!

These are sooo cute, cats and make-up are two of my favourite things!! The lipstick looks pretty wearable and the radiant ribbon couture palette also looks interesting, though the palette design is not as pretty as the planet cat one! Thanks for the post, I'll be adding something to my Christmas wish list for sure! xx

These are exactly the two items I picked up as well! I've been enjoying the highlighter duo quite a lot and I caved on the lipstick after seeing swatches. It should be here later this week. =)

All these LE items are gorgeous! The pressed powder looks stunning, and I love the cutey pie kitty design.

eeek! i got these two poducts from this collection too. isn't it the cutest ever?
shu just gets better each season, definitely more creative than other brands and an improvement from its own previous collections, imo.
i got the asia-exclusive venus pink lipstick though. w00t!
this shade jupitor brown looks so beautiful though, the name is misleading, it's not as brown as imagined, it's a complex kind of shade. (note to self: stop drooling!)

so cute xo I want the ribbon palette so badly! But I'm actually the same as you, the colours in that palette aren't really me, which is probably why I haven't caved and bought it yet!
