Holiday Gift Guide: For the Girls Who Have Everything

December 11, 2017

Holiday Gifts for Girls Who Have Everything

I’m wrapping up my holiday gift guides this week! Today’s roundup includes gift ideas for girls who seem to have everything aka the hard-to-shop-for. If you have friends who are like me and seem like they have all the latest and greatest in makeup there are still plenty of options for gifts. Products like a nice hand cream, luxe lip balm, luxury candle or sheet masks are great ideas because they’ll get used and with winter weather their skin will appreciate it. Even if they already have them!

  1. Space NK x Nordstrom Holiday Heros Silver Edition ($99, valued at $225) great value set with Space NK’s classics, also available direct from Space NK in a different variation.
  2. By Terry Baume de Rose ($60) a classic balm that you really cannot go wrong with, it’s hydrating and luxurious with a super smooth feel. It also comes in a tube version but the pot gives you more product.
  3. Original Beauty Box Deluxe Size ($159) is one of my best beauty buys to organize my makeup, I own several of these although I only have one with me at the moment (the others are in storage). The image above is one filled with my own products to show height and what fits. You can see them displayed in my San Diego Home Loft Tour post as well to get a better idea of what other items will fit inside.
  4. Diptyque Mini Candle Collection ($150) has 10 miniature candles, this is the best way to sample multiple scents without having to buy the full size.
  5. Byredo Hand Cream ($35) comes in multiple scent options, it’s one of the most luxurious scented hand creams I’ve tried, my favorite of the moment is Mojave Ghost.
  6. Bobbi Brown Beauty Case ($160) a beautiful deep red beauty case, review here and last year’s shown here.
  7. Barefoot Dreams Cozy Chic Throw ($147) O-M-G this is the softest throw I’ve ever felt! I bought one and it was supposed to be a gift but after touching it I’ve decided to keep it. It’s so soft I want to wear it everywhere. Luckily they have an entire line of sweaters and I will be ordering some for myself.
  8. Boy Smells Candle Trio ($44) I’ve bought a few of the Boy Smells candles and they have incredible throw at a more affordable price compared to Diptyque, Byredo or Cire Trudon.
  9. Glamcor Riki Skinny Mirror from Beautylish ($195) is an amazing mirror that lights up with different light intensities with daylight lighting. It has a magnetic clip where you can mount a magnified mirror or iPhone holder. It’s large enough to see your entire face!
  10. Oribe Dry Styling Collection ($75) you can’t go wrong with this gift set, I think every girl I know would love this regardless of hair type or length, even if they already own these I’m sure they wouldn’t mind having a back up!
  11. Antica Farmacista 12 Days of Antica ($175) this is the best advent calendar I’ve seen this year, it’s already sold out at a number of places so I’d recommend you order soon if you are interested. Antica Farmacista is one of the most elegant home fragrance lines I’ve tried to date and EVERYTHING is beautiful. This one is still available at Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and Barney’s New York.
  12. Chanel La Creme Main ($50) is one of the most uniquely packaged hand creams I’ve ever seen. It has a soft velvety finish so there’s no greasy feel. I like that it’s nicely hydrating but not heavy. Review on this one here.
  13. simplehuman Sensor Mirror Pro ($249.99) is the best mirror I’ve tried, the magnification and lighting is just phenomenal.
  14. Antica Farmacista Lush Palm Diffuser ($26) is one of the best fresh clean scents I’ve ever smelled, I’ve since used up a few of these over the past months and it’s a nice way to add home scents if you can’t burn candles where you are (ie traveling or in any building with restrictions).
  15. Tatcha Camellia Kisses Trio ($85) is a beautiful tinted lip balm trio in Red Camellia, Cherry Blossom Camellia, and Plum Blossom Camellia, review and swatches in this post here.
  16. Glamboxes Glamboard ($59.99) is a great display tray made of good quality acrylic. Each section expands or collapses so you can change the size depending on your counter space.

If you have someone super hard to shop for hope this gives you some ideas! For me when in doubt, I can never go wrong with any kind of face masks, sheet masks, hand creams or nice lip balms. Gift cards also work! What do you usually gift to those who are hard to shop for?

Press samples featured include the Glamcor Mirror, Antica Farmacista 12 Days of Antica, Tatcha Camellia Kisses Trio.

“Boy smells” lol. It has a certain appeal, I’ll give ’em that.
I love diffusers, I’ll look into this one you suggest here!

Oh, also, love the gift guides. πŸ™‚

I think it’s so clever! Glad you like the gift guides!

  • nic December 11, 2017 at 10:46 am

I AM the hard to shop for person. I like what you listed, especially the candles and the balm trio which I have and LOVE. My fiance looked at me last night and has fallen in love as well with Diptyque. Poor man. Thank you, Fig and Firewood combo! May I ask you, what is your absolute favorite candle line? I am so unbelievably broke this Christmas and want a small treat. Of course, my Space.NK points need to be used this week as well! What’s your absolute, can’t live without favorites? This new line, is it a must try?! I am now addicted to these home fragrances. WHY?!!

    • BeautyLookBook December 11, 2017 at 12:16 pm

Hi Nic – candle line fav is SO hard for me right now because there are so many good ones. My heart belongs to Diptyque.

Last year I discovered Antica Farmacista and Nest. Both are more affordable but still lovely – the Nest holiday scents are so good (you can find them at Neimans, Nordstrom, etc).

      HTH!

And yes home scents are addicting because it makes the home so much better!

  • Kate Cippele December 11, 2017 at 3:26 pm

I LOVE the By Terry Baume De Rose – I definitely wouldn’t be mad if I got that for Christmas πŸ™‚

  • Sena December 12, 2017 at 12:32 am

The diptyque candle set is such a dream! I’ve only bought for others as a gift and never for myself

  • Anne Capitant December 12, 2017 at 1:00 am

The Diptyque set and the Bobbi Brown train case are goals. Though we are in the midst of a bit of a crisis with one of our cats (most is already done with, and he’s out of the woods, but now he has a bunch of tooth pain so I’m frantically trying to get him in for that ASAP as he’s miserable) so that’s our Christmas/New Year’s money gone, but he is a better gift than anything I could buy so no regrets on that front. But I will have to look out for the Diptique set next year and see if Bobbi Brown continues their train case tradition as well.

  • Jennb December 12, 2017 at 3:06 am

I love the diptyque set! Diptyque always has some serious holiday sets. By Terry baume is amazing I personally love using it. I really like your choices of holiday gifts

  • Karen E Young December 12, 2017 at 5:42 am

I own 3 Barefoot Dreams sweaters and have gifted a few. They are so soft and keep you so warm. Now I’m going to have to try a blanket/throw.

  • Amy K December 12, 2017 at 12:03 pm

Great suggestions! I went with candles and sheet masks for my hard-to-shop-for sisters.

    • BeautyLookBook December 14, 2017 at 10:58 pm

Nice!!!! You can’t go wrong with sheet masks!

  • Catherine Shi December 12, 2017 at 12:35 pm

I love this gift guide and that you included a few home items. I have a few friends that fall into this category (and I’m pretty sure they would consider me to fall here as well πŸ˜‚). I’ve been on the hunt for good non scratchy throws for most of this year and it’s been really challenging!! I’ll definitely have to check out the one you recommended as well as their sweaters 😍

    • BeautyLookBook December 14, 2017 at 10:58 pm

Hi Catherine, glad you liked the roundup! The Barefoot Dreams is definitely not scratchy at all and I totally feel you on finding good ones that don’t look ugly lol.

  • Megan Harrington December 12, 2017 at 12:36 pm

This is an AMAZING gift guide. I would die for the Diptyque candle set. So beautiful!!

  • cpbebe December 12, 2017 at 12:46 pm

fun round up! I love these picks

  • Justine R December 12, 2017 at 1:11 pm

I love the mirror with the magnetic clip. Time to start saving up!

  • Truth Lacks Lyricism December 12, 2017 at 1:24 pm

I tend to gift nice beauty products that are easy to use up or regift like sheet masks or hand creams, too. I also tend to give candles, chocolate or other sweets, etc.

  • Katy December 12, 2017 at 1:34 pm

    Love those Diptyque candles!

  • Julie December 12, 2017 at 1:40 pm

I’ve been wanting that beauty box for quite some time now and only issue i have is that I have no room. Sucks! Also want to try the Byterry balm so badly. I’m a sucker for lip balms!!! This post is making me want to do damage hahahahaha 😝😝😝

  • satelliteoflove December 12, 2017 at 3:25 pm

Ugh, I can NOT let myself do any more Diptyque shopping this year, after getting the big and little holiday sets and being extremely disappointed by the throw (except for the green Unicorn, which is my least favorite, but has excellent throw).

  • Amanda Jimenez December 12, 2017 at 3:52 pm

I love gifting candles. Especially for yankee swaps and secret santas. With the right scent they can be unisex too. But I’m a sucker for warm and cozy items like the throw mentioned above. Socks are good too!

  • Melissa.rva December 12, 2017 at 4:31 pm

I have to buy this simplehuman mirror for me =)

  • Alyssa Marron December 12, 2017 at 4:39 pm

So obsessed with the diptyque mini candle set!

  • Ellemomo December 12, 2017 at 5:55 pm

It’s well past time for me to have gotten one of those acrylic beauty boxes! πŸ™‚

    • BeautyLookBook December 14, 2017 at 10:57 pm

They’re really good in quality. Spendy but functional so you can see everything!

  • Alix December 12, 2017 at 6:17 pm

I love the Bobbi Brown case!

  • Nicolle Camargo December 12, 2017 at 6:25 pm

In love with the Bobbi Brown case!

  • so_schilly December 12, 2017 at 6:33 pm

A friend of mine hates the Simple Human mirror so I’ve never bought it, I wonder if it’s worth a try though…or maybe the Glamcor Skinny mirror is a good alternative!

    • BeautyLookBook December 14, 2017 at 10:56 pm

Oh no! Why does she hate it? I love mine! My brother saw it liked it so much he bought one for himself lol.

      • so_schilly December 15, 2017 at 4:07 pm

I actually think hers wasn’t working correctly! It kept malfunctioning. I need a mirror like that though and Simple Human consistently gets great reviews so I’ve put it on my wishlist. Your brother liking it so much he got one himself is a convincing recommendation :).

  • Faith December 12, 2017 at 7:09 pm
