Sephora VIB Rouge Sale Beauty Haul

The Sephora VIB Holiday 20% off sale starts today for VIB Members in store (with your e-mail code or coupon mailer) and online with code VIB20. I am a VIB Rouge member and tested the code today to see if it would work (because several e-mailed me asking me to test it) but it doesn’t. I have a roundup of what I bought last week when the code worked for VIB Rouge Members along with some quick swatches of the color/makeup items. I shopped in store – there were a few things in my online cart that were online exclusives but I didn’t check out before the sale ended – no biggie since I splurged on a lot of other goodies. Here’s the damage below.

For my husband, I picked up the Dior Sauvage Eau De Toilette Spray in the 2 oz bottle. He prefers smaller bottles because they take up less counter space. I had the 3 piece gift set on my list for him, but it’s an online exclusive and he’s picky about after shave lotions. I decided to stay with what was safe. I also picked up the Tom Ford Costa Azzurra Eau de Parfum for him. It’s a fresh scent but still has enough masculine notes to wear year round. Sephora has the exclusive on the small 1 oz size so I thought I’d try it. I should have just bought the regular 1.7 oz size but my curiosity got the best of me with the tiny bottle.

For makeup, I picked up the following:

Burberry First Kiss Fresh Gloss Lip Balm in Coral Glow which is a stunning coral balm, it hydrates, feels good on the lips, and gives a healthy tint of color with a stunning glow
Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks in Melted Nude and Melted Chihuahua have been on my list for ages, I can’t believe it took me so long to buy these, Melted Nude might just be my new holy grail nude lip color, Chihuahua is what I wanted Kat Von D Lolita to be on me
Cover FX Illuminator in Sunlight has had so many raves, I had to try it, I’ve worn it 2x so far, I’m undecided about it, it’s like but not pure love, for the price it’s good
Sephora Colorful Contour Powder in Fiji and Highlighter in Secretive can’t be beat at the $15 price tag (for each), I was hoping Secretive would be a dupe for Chanel Coups de Minuit, but the Sephora color is a lot sheerer in finish, Fiji is a nice warm subtle contour
Cover FX Illuminating Primer is another highly raved about primer, I have high hopes for it, currently testing, will report soon
Bite Beauty Mix and Mingle Duos in Café/Pepper (for me) and Latte/Cortado (as a gift) of course I could not resist these cute lip duos, Café is the best light pink ever, I wish it was available in the full size lipstick

Lavanila Healthy Deoderant Travel size to fit inside my purse or for travel (still eyeing the holiday ones but forgot to check in store)
Drybar Sparking Soda Shine Mist is available individually in the travel size in store, online it’s available in the small size in The Four Pack
Kate Somerville D-Scar Scar Diminishing Serum was recommended to me during my Kate Somerville facial, I have high hopes for this, can’t wait to start using it
The Glamglow Supercleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser is one of my favorite clarifying cleansers, I’ve gone through a couple bottles already and repurchased another one during the sale, I was contemplating the GIFTSEXY Ultimate Anti-Aging Set which is still on my wishlist, I’m going to wait and see if there will be any Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals
There were also mini Glam Glow samples for beauty insider points in store so I redeemed some points for the newest one

For flawless foundation application the Marc Jacobs The Face II Sculpting Brush (2) gives streak-free application and doubles for cream contour, if you want something more affordable, the Sephora Collection Pro Brush #53 (3) is just as good, review on both here
There are so many good skincare sets out this year, First Aid Beauty launched some really good values sets, the Peace, Joy and FAB Kit (4) has their top five selling products
Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme Lipsticks are among my favorite lipstick formulas for full coverage colors, the The Sofia – Five Piece Petites Le Marc Lip Crème Collection (5) has mini lip colors in clutch sizes, swatches of all the colors in this formula here
Urban Decay Naked Palettes are my favorite neutral palettes, Naked Smokey (6) is the latest launch although Naked2 Basics and Naked3 are my favorites (swatches)
Burberry launched at Sephora this year, the Wet & Dry Glow Eyeshadows (7) are fab, swatches of all four colors here
AmorePacific has several value sets out with minis perfect to test out before committing to the full size, I bought The Moisture Bound Oil-Free Set (8) and love every item, I am planning on purchasing some of the full size items
Bite Beauty Discovery Set (9) has eight pieces with classic staples, I haven’t reviewed mine yet but hope to soon (it’s really really good)
Dior Addict Fluid Sticks (10) are among my favorite lipstick formula although they are a lipstick and lipgloss hybrid, swatches of colors I have here and here
Clarisonic Alpha Fit for Men (11) is something I bought for my husband and he really likes it, everything from the packaging design, function and brush head work really well for his skin and helps with shaving, review and close ups here
Buxom Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipsticks (12) are affordable bold lipsticks in satin and matte formulas, there are tons of good colors, swatches of every color in this post here

Sephora Collection Colorful Blushes and Highlighters (24) are something I swatched a few weeks ago, they have some colors that look like the perfect contour, I have So Surprised, Jubilant and Tranquil on my list
Last but not least, I keep going back and forth on the gorgeous Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette (25), I’m still undecided about buying it because I have 5 of the colors, it’s been calling my name for weeks though

I’ve been obsessed with flat zip pouches and clutches pretty much my entire adult life and finding simple classic-looking ones isn’t always easy. Truffle makes sleek looking ones I’ve found are very well made. Their Clarity Clutches help keep me organized and I love the see-thru aspect so I don’t have to dig through my makeup bags to find what I’m looking for – my go-to is the small size because it fits in most of my bags. I’ve also been obsessed with the Privacy Clutch. Last year I stocked up on tons of these during the sale and gave them out as gifts. They are the perfect size to carry the essentials: phone, lipstick, powder, keys. I like that it can really be used as a clutch.
