Hermes Plein Air H Trio Mineral Powder Bronzer + Iridescent Highlighters

Hermes just launched their Plein Air H Trio Healthy Glow Mineral Bronzing Powders ($105) and Iridescent Powders ($105) in the US and I am so excited to have a review to share today. I fell in love almost immediately with the product description and demo video on the Hermes website. The powders looked perfect for that effortless healthy sunkissed glow and I was eager to put these to the test.

Given that these are extremely expensive I was surprised to find that many of the shades have sold out at a lot of retailers. Depending on which shade you want you may have to do some shopping around but they are available at Hermes, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and Neiman Marcus to name a few places.

These powders have 3 shades in one compact in a beautiful embossed H pattern. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to see the compacts are larger than the other Hermes powders with 18 g of product. They are scented similar to the Rose Hermes blushes (reviewed here) but the scent dissipates after a while and I don’t notice it when it’s on the skin.

Plein Air H Trio Healthy Glow Mineral Powder

There are 5 shades of the Plein Air H Trio Healthy Glow Mineral Powder and I ordered three shades to try. These have a beautiful silky texture with very good pigment, no excess powdery kick up, no hard-pan and apply beautifully on the skin.

I was really impressed with the level of pigment – they show up really well but at the same time are really easy to blend and sheer out. There is a tiny bit of shimmer in these but it’s more like subtle flecks of shimmer spread out on a matte base so on the skin they really look more matte.

02 Atlas

02 Atlas is a warm light bronze, this pulls warm on my skin when used as a bronzer, I like this better as a soft contour to warm up the skin instead, wearing this with the Hermesistible Lip Oil in 02 Corail Bigarade (swatched here) on the lips

03 Sahara is the best shade for me out of the three, this is a medium tan, on the lips wearing Lisa Eldridge Gloss Embrace in Charm

Plein Air H Trio Iridescent Mineral Powder

There are two variations of the Plein Air H Trio Iridescent Mineral Powder. Both have three different shades of highlighter in one compact. I swatched them individually and swirled and also next to the Plein Air Powder I just reviewed in Mirage.

On my medium tan skin these pull very light/pale. Pigment is medium but easy to control so you can get a sheer glow or a more intense highlight. These are very powdery and there was a lot of powdery kick up all over (even in my hair). I would recommend applying with a light hand. Both seem to have sold out everywhere except the Hermes website.

01 Rose Atacama

01 Rose Atacama is a mix of icy white, medium soft nude pink and a cool pink. On my skin this pulls very frosty since it’s contrasted with my skin. Since there is such a sharp contrast I found it highlighted my pores and texture. The Charlotte Tilbury Glow Glide Highlighter in Pillow Talk Glow is better suited for my skin tone as it’s not as white/icy (review here). Wearing it on top of the Bronzer Shade 02 Atlas and Hermesistible Lip Oil in 02 Corail Bigarade.

02 Corail Mojave

I found 02 Corail Mojave more unique and better for my skin tone. This also pulls very shimmery with an icy white champagne, pale gold and orange copper shimmer. When swirled it’s more of a soft champagne gold. I didn’t have time to swatch comparisons but color is somewhere in between Charlotte Tilbury Glow Glide Highlighters in Champagne Glow and Gilded Glow (the CT ones have more pop to them, more swatches here). Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in Peach Glow is more sparkly. Dior Nude Glow is more complex and slightly warmer.

Below wearing it on top of 03 Sahara Bronzer.

Overall I think the bronzers are the stand out for me with a silky smooth texture, natural finish and large compact size. I like Sahara the best for my skin tone.

The highlighters are stunning, but not a must for me. Shade 01 is too pale for my skin tone, even with a light hand. Shade 02 is beautiful but given the vast number of highlighters I own, I don’t think I could call it a must-have.

Cle de Peau Beaute Lips

Cle de Peau Cream Rouge Collection

Cle de Peau recently revamped some of their lip products with the new Cream Rouge Collection and I’m thrilled to be able to share swatches of every single color today! I ordered a handful of shades when they first launched but it was thanks to Benjamin Puckey (follow him at @benjaminpuckey) who was so kind to send all the colors for me to try and swatch for you.

These are available now at Cle de Peau, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and all other Cle de Peau retailers.

There are three finishes in the Cream Rouge Collection ($50 each):

Cream Rouge Shine – opaque vibrant cream liquid lipstick/gloss
Cream Rouge Matte – full coverage mattes with a lightweight texture
Cream Rouge Sparkles – multidimensional gel gloss loaded with sparkles

The formula is exceptional which is no surprise for Cle de Peau. What I liked about these the most is the hydrating finish. I swatched most of the shades on the lips and usually at the end of a lip swatching session my lips are pretty raw with the wiping and re-application. This time my lips felt even better afterwards. Coverage of the Shine and Matte formulas are full-coverage and smooth. Lasting power is very good although they are not budge-proof or transfer-proof. Sparkles have medium lasting-power and run sheer. The photos and swatches cannot do them justice – only in real life can you see the multi-dimensional shimmer and how the light catches each sparkle.

Cream Rouge Shine

The Cream Rouge Shine formula is my favorite. I love a good glossy lip and these are stunning. I would have liked to see more neutrals in the lineup, but those who love color or a bold lip will be thrilled with every single shade.

Cream Rouge Sparkle

The Cream Rouge Sparkles are stunning. They are sheer with a jelly like base but the sparkle is just beautiful I ordered one of each of these and like 303 and 304 the best. There is no gritty texture once applied, they feel smooth and I love how they feel.

Cream Rouge Matte

Last we have a look at the Cream Rouge Matte which is a lightweight airy almost whipped matte. These also offer full coverage and apply smoothly with a flawless finish. There is one neutral which I love Chocolate Cosmos. All the other shades are very bright and bold. They feel very comfortable on the lips.

Overall this is a beautiful launch with exceptional formulas and colors. My favorites are all of the sparkles, Calanthe Orchid, Calliandra, Cordyline and Chocolate Cosmos. At $50 each these are extremely pricey but the formula is top notch after several days of wear my lips do feel more hydrated and smooth.

Chanel Beauty Spring Summer 2023 Launch

The Spring Summer 2023 collection for Chanel Beauty has arrived and I’m so excited to share a look today! The collection has a red theme with new oversized palettes for eyes and cheeks. The items have just launched online at Chanel.com (you can find them if you search products individually, I’ve linked each item below for you) and also now at Nordstrom and Saks.

In today’s review we have a look at the:

Les 4 Rouges Yeux Et Joues Eyeshadow and Blush Palette

This spring Chanel has launched oversized palettes with powders formulated for both eyes and cheeks. There are two varations this season, I have the lighter Les 4 Rouges Yeux Et Joues Eyeshadow and Blush Palette in 957 Tendresse. This has four powders with sheer-medium pigment.

Shades include a light shimmery rose highlighter, a soft tan satin for bronzer/contour, a soft watermelon pink blush and a deeper reddish powder. Powders have a medium texture – not super soft but not stiff. Overall look is soft but colors can be layered.

I like this on the cheeks but also found I could wear on the eyes. The tan shade is just slightly deeper than my skin tone and warms up the skin. On me it’s a barely there kind of color but does add a nice touch of warmth.

I’m wearing the Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Complexion Touch Foundation in B30 and B40 mixed. On the lips I am wearing the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Lip Balm in Light. For the eyes I also added a little bit of the Les 4 Ombres in Candeur Et Experience and Noir Allure Mascara in Black.

Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colors

There are two new shades of the Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colors in Rouge Cuir and Watermelon and they’re beautiful! Watermelon is a bright vibrant pink jelly shade. It has a transparent finish so I used 3 coats to get full coverage. Rouge Cuir is a pretty dusty warm rose with opaque coverage.

Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick

This collection brings us a new Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick in Rouge Frais. You girls know I’m usually not a fan of the dewy cheek sticks because I live in hot and humid Florida and they usually do not last. This shade however is the prettiest Baume Essentiel I’ve tried. It’s a bright red shimmer in the tube but has a transparent sheer pink finish on the cheeks. I also tried it on the lips and it’s a really pretty shimmery red when used as a lip balm.

Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eyeliner

The spring launch features the Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eyeliner in Or Rose. I feel like this may have been a color from an older launch many years ago but am not 100% sure the shade is the same. I think this year’s has a different number and is more of a true rose gold. It’s stunning. As a liner it’s subtle on me but I also tried it as an all over eyeshadow and think it’s just beautiful.

Noir Allure Mascara

Last is a look at the Noir Allure Mascara in Rouge Grenat. I love this mascara formula but red tinted mascaras aren’t really my thing. This formula coats the lashes and is great at lengthening. The red is very pigmented and does coat all the lashes with a reddish shimmer color. I still prefer the classic black shade but if you like tinted mascaras I think this is a fun twist.

Overall thoughts: I love the Les 4 Rouges Palette in Tendresse. I think it’s pretty, wearable and different from what I already own. I think the pink highlighter is really pretty! The Le Vernis in Watermelon is a must for me, I think it will be really fun for spring/summer.

Hermes Rouge Hermes Shiny Lipsticks, Plein Air Complexion Balm and Radiant Powder

Sharing a look at some luxury beauty pieces from Hermes Beauty today! Hermes just launched three limited-edition Rouge Hermes Shiny Lipsticks ($78 each) and I think they’re absolutely stunning. I also have a look at two complexion products that I’ve tested including the Hermes Plein Air Natural Enhancing Complexion Balm ($90), Radiant Glow Powder ($95) and Powder Brush ($126).

The Hermes Plein Air Natural Enhancing Complexion Balm is a natural looking tint with SPF 30 and a dewy finish. I bought the shade 50 Palomino sight unseen and was thankful it ended up being a perfect match. This has a CC cream/BB cream kind of feel to it. It’s semi thick but blends easily and a little goes a long way. Finish is natural and slightly dewy. It’s lightly fragranced with sandalwood and green tea but smells mainly like a sunscreen to me. It is a mineral only sunscreen which is usually hit or miss for me.

Pros are that it looks natural and fresh. I like the coverage. Lasting power is pretty good. I do set with a powder to help make it last though. Cons include the steep price and for my skin type and climate I live in it’s a bit too dewy for my taste. The fragrance does not irritate my skin but I know a lot of you are sensitive to fragranced base products so your mileage may vary.

Before/After

After testing it for several months now I can’t say that I recommend it mainly because of the price. It’s a solid product but I think there are better options on the market that are more affordable with a higher SPF. For something similar in texture and coverage I’d recommend trying the Chanel CC Cream ($55, been loving this for years, swatches here), It Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow Foundation ($44), Supergoop! CC Screen ($44) or the Armani Neo Nude Tinted Moisturizer ($48).

The Plein Air Radiant Glow Powder is a beautiful highlighter. Also very expensive and easily dupeable. In the compact it appears more peach/rose tone but on my skin the champagne and gold tones pull more prominent. I’m wearing this over the Rose Hermes Blush in Rose Blush (also reviewed here).

This has a beautiful texture and it’s easy to layer. I love the way it looks but cannot say it’s a must-have. Even though the swatch comparisons show that Hermes Mirage is different in undertone (more golden), on the face the differences are really subtle for a champagne highlighter. If this was more true to pan and looked more pink/peach on my skin then I think it would 100% have been more unique and flattering on my skin. It’s a stunning one – just not unique enough to justify the price in my opinion.

I splurged on the Powder Brush not realizing it was priced at $126. It’s definitely not worth the price. I do use it a lot but the Chanel Brush 106 ($60) is half the price and much better in terms of softness. The NARS Bronzer Brush ($38) is also excellent.

Last we have a look at the three new Shiny Lipsticks in Corail Parasol, Beige Croisette and Brun Yachting. I absolutely love these even though they are also incredibly overpriced and sheer. I think the colors are fresh and wearable. They give that natural polished look that is noticeable but not overdone.

06 Brilliant Corail Parasol is a sheer light grapefruit with sparkles. It looks like a candy glaze on the lips with the glossy finish.

10 Brilliant Beige Croisette is a sheer creamy brown beige. It pulls slightly warmer on my lips than what I see in the tube.

22 Brilliant Brun Yachting is a sheer medium-tone brown which I thought would be unflattering. It’s a nice soft brick brown reddish color with almost 90s vibes.

I added a swatch of two orangey lipsticks from Hermes including the Poppy Lip Shine and 35 Brilliant Orange Capucine (limited-edition, reviewed here).

Overall love the new shiny lipsticks but I think I could have definitely passed on the complexion balm, brush and highlighting powder. I hope you found this review helpful if you’ve been looking at any of the new Hermes beauty launches!

I have a new Sephora haul roundup review for you today! There are lots of new beauty launches at Sephora I’ve put to the test this month and I’ve found some new loves! Here are 12 things I hauled this month to try and my thoughts.

Make Up For Ever launched the new HD Skin Matte Velvet Undetectable Longwear Blurring Powder Foundation and it has an overwhelming number of rave reviews so I had to investigate it to see if it lived up to the hype. I picked up 2Y20 Warm Nude and it’s a perfect match! It blurs the skin to perfection with a sponge giving full smooth coverage. I also like to use a brush to apply it as a setting powder for sheerer coverage. Lasting power is very good and I love that it does not oxidize on my skin.

I also picked up the Make Up For Ever HD Undetectable Longwear Foundation in the same corresponding shade 2Y20. This isn’t a new formula but new to me and I give this one is a huge thumbs up too. It’s lightweight, blurs, naturally radiant, with nice natural coverage. The texture is fluid and easy to blend and work into the skin without looking or feeling heavy.

Another complexion product I picked up is the Caliray Freedreaming Clean Blurring Skin Tint in Shade 6. I’ve been looking for a natural skin tint that still has some coverage and that isn’t too dewy. It’s a skin-but-better sheer tint but still has enough coverage to even out the skin in a very natural way. It does have a dewy finish so I set with powder but I really like the way it looks and feels on the skin.

I’ve loved the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray for as long as I can remember and did not realize they had more than one formula until recently. I’ve been really impressed with the Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray with Vitamin C. You can use this to prep and hydrate the skin before makeup. It has an ultra fine mist dispenser to evenly spritz the face. Love this for a light veil of hydration. It also works to set the makeup too.

The new Tower 28 Sculptino Soft Matte Cream Contour + Bronzers just launched and I literally ran to my local store to pick one up. I opted for the shade in Getty which is a natural medium tan. I like that it’s a neutral-warm color which helps warm up the complexion in a flattering way. It has a creamy finish described as a soft matte and on the skin it does feel like a demi-matte but still has a dewy look to it. I’ve photographed and swatched it next to the Bronzino in West Coast for reference.

As a fan of the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Balm Powder I was really excited to see that she launched the Yummy Skin Blush. These are ultra pigmented balm blushes that will show up on a wide range of skin tones. I love that these are still easy to blend/sheer out easily. I picked Jubilee and Rose N Brunch to try first and really like both. I applied both shades on the lips and cheeks. They have a blurred soft matte finish with excellent lasting power on me.

Another popular item that caught my eye is the Fenty Skin Lip Plush Puddin’ Intensive Recovery Lip Mask. This has a unique twisting base to push and dispense the balm. It’s thick, hydrating and plush – I like to use this as an overnight lip mask. Softens the lips and I really love it.

For lip colors I picked up some new Hourglass and Anastasia Beverly Hills. A number of you asked for a review of the new Hourglass Unlocked Satin Crème Lipsticks. I picked up four to try in Tide, Alpine, Oasis and Dahlia. I am completely blown away by this formula. It just might be THE best satin lipstick formula I have ever tried. These have flawless smooth coverage and apply beautifully on the lips. They have a very soft vanilla scent. Out of the four I picked I like Oasis the best but they’re really all wearable. I will 100% need to pick up more colors.

Anastasia Beverly Hills launched new lip shades to her current lineup. I picked up one of her Lip Pencils in Muted Mauve which is a taupe mauve shade and two Lip Glosses in Sunbaked which is a mauve pink and Soft Pink which is a creamy baby pink. The glosses work well when layered on top of a pencil or lipstick for a full glossy lip look. I think the new neutral shades are really stunning.

Last is a quick look at two new hair launches. Oribe added a new product to the Hair Alchemy lineup with their new Hair Alchemy Strengthening Masque and it does not disappoint. Strengthens hair and leaves it soft and hydrated. As a huge Olaplex fan I could not wait to try the No.4D Clean Volume Detox Dry Shampoo and it’s a win for me. I really love that the product does not leave any white powder residue on the hair. Feels lightweight, adds volume, absorbs excess oil.

For the eyes Charlotte Tilbury just launched two new shades of her Hypnotizing Pop Shots and I have the rose pink shade in Pillow Talk Diamonds. These are stunning sparkle toppers in a pressed powder format. The texture is impeccable. These shadows are loaded with multi-dimensional sparkle and tiny glitters yet they adhere remarkably well to the lids and stay put. I like to pat these on with my fingers. The Ultra Violet shade is already sold out, but the exclusive to CharlotteTilbury.com Pillow Talk Diamond shade is still available.

I’ve swatched it next to her Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette and Pillow Talk Luxury Palette of Pops, both of which have glitter sparkle toppers. The new Hypnotizing Pop Shot in Pillow Talk Diamonds has more of a rosy plum pink undertone with more intense sparkle than what I see in her other palettes. Also swatched her Eyes to Mesmerize Cream Shadow in Pillow Talk for comparison which is a lovely plum rose on me.

For the cheeks her newest launch is the Matte Beauty Blush Wands. I hauled a few and shared a tutorial demo on Instagram a few weeks ago and love them. Pillow Talk is exclusive to her website. It’s a wearable soft matte rose that is easy to blend and layer with a nice natural matte dry down. For a cream/liquid blush these have really good staying power.

Chantecaille Wild Meadows Collection for Spring 2023

Chantecaille recently launched their new limited-edition Wild Meadows Collection for spring. This year they celebrate their 25th Anniversary! The collection has a floral-inspired theme with fresh pinks, pastel tones and some pretty coral shades. The pieces are limited-edition and available now at Chantecaille and Neiman Marcus.

In this collection:

Wild Meadows Eye Quad ($78)
Wild Meadows Blush ($75 each) in Apple Blossom and Anemone
Lip Chic ($52 each) in Meadow, Crocus and Carpathia

Every item is just stunning from the beautiful packaging to the high-quality textures and beautiful pigments. Colors are fresh and bright. I think this is a collection well worth checking out!

Wild Meadows Eye Quad

The Wild Meadows Eye Quad has four shades including a shimmering pale gold, a baby pink shimmer, metallic warm taupe sparkle and the most beautiful soft matte brown. The only downside to this one is that the pans are extremely small, especially for the price, but the texture and pigment is exceptionally stunning.

Wild Meadows Blush

There are two shades of Wild Meadows Blush in this collection. They have a very smooth texture and apply flawlessly. Apple Blossom is a warm pink and Anemone is a raspberry with a tiny bit of shimmer. Both are beautiful on the complexion and are easy to build. They give the complexion life without looking overdone.

Lip Chic

The Lip Chics are the most beautiful pieces in the collection (in my opinion). If you’re a fan of Chantecaille lipsticks you know the Lip Chic has a really pretty creamy texture, hydrating feel, comfortable finish and buildable pigment. You girls know I gravitate towards neutrals so of course I love Meadow a soft peachy nude. The other two are bright but still wearable. Carpathia is a bright apricot. Crocus is a vibrant raspberry pink – not really a shade I would wear but still pretty.

Overall a beautiful collection with fresh wearable colors for spring. I love that Chantecaille launches new colors that remain true to brand and very different from what other lines launch. The pieces are on the expensive side but the quality of each piece is exceptional. If it’s in your budget to splurge I think you will absolutely love the spring collection.
