On My Radar / New In Beauty

February 25, 2015
Some new items on my radar this week that have popped up. I’m still working my way through photographing and swatching items from Marc Jacobs Beauty, Hourglass, Burberry, Chanel and Charlotte Tilbury. There’s not enough hours in the day for all the fun stuff. As usual I’d love to hear what’s on your beauty radar right now. I’m in the process of testing out some eye creams (sample packets and a few I’ve bought) – if you have any favorite eye creams I’d love to hear your recs in the comments.

1  /  2  /  3  /  4  /  5  /  6  /  7  /  8  /  9
  1. NARS will release six shades of Dual-Intensity Blush next week at online at Sephora, NARS Cosmetics and NARS Boutiques on March 4th and at all other locations April 1st. As someone who is obsessed with the Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows, I’m beyond excited for these.
  2. Chanel has some new items in skincare. The entire Le Blanc line has been reformulated so if you have some staples I recommend you check your counter as soon as possible to see if they have the older formulas to stock up. I just ran out of my go-to Estee Lauder toner so I decided to give the Le Blanc Brightening Moisturizing Lotion a try. I’ll have a more detailed report once I give it a test drive.
  3. Another new item from Chanel is the Hydra Beauty Micro Serum. From what I’ve heard, it will not replace the current Hydra Beauty Serum, but is simply an addition to the line for more moisture. I bought the Micro Serum yesterday and can’t wait to try it out.
  4. The Bite Beauty Butter Cream Lipsticks are now available for everyone to purchase (no longer a VIB/VIB Rouge exclusive). There are eight shades of nudes and mauves which are super tempting. Given the fact that I have acquired a number of Chanel Rouge Cocos, Dior Glosses and Marc Jacobs Lipsticks buying another lipstick just seems silly. But many of you keep raving about Bite so I might check out 1 or 2.
  5. Dior has three new Gel-Shine Vernis Nail Lacquers launched with the release of the lip glosses.  The three colors are Rose, Pink and Corail. I’ll have swatches for you next week.
  6. Bobbi Brown has new Cheek Palettes with different color themes in Berry, Pink and Calypso. These are so stunning and well pigmented. I haven’t splurged yet but these are on my radar.
  7. Tatcha’s latest is the Indigo Soothing Rice Enzyme Powder for sensitive skin. It’s also available in a travel size. I’m a huge fan of the regular version (reviewed here) and this new one looks promising for days that my skin is experiencing extra sensitivity.
  8. Burberry has reformulated all of their shadows. In addition to their powder shadows, there is another new formula called Wet & Dry Glow Shadows in Optic White, Gold Pearl, Nude and Shell which are mind blowingly gorgeous. I’m working on swatches this week.
  9. Clinique has two Chubby Sticks out. There is a Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight and Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour. I like the look of the packaging and they look like they are really easy to use but reviews are mixed. Have you tried these? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
What’s on your beauty radar this week?

I love the Nars Dual Intensity shadows and recently bought the Dual Intensity palette! The new colours look phenomenal and can imagine the colour pay off will be just as good. Both the Bite Beauty lipsticks and Dior polishes looks fab too. Will definitely keep an eye for when they hit the stores.

Oooh, I'm so excited for you on the NARS palette! I have been eyeing it but already have most of the colors individually (sad face).

I'm in love with the Chanel micro serum, I use it instead of moisturiser since I have rather oily skin. Very interested in the new Blanc range too. Looking forward to your Rouge Dior Vernis swatches!

Thanks for the input on the Chanel Micro Serum! I am excited to test it out.

    Great post!
I really want to try too the Clinique Chubby Sticks, I've heard a lot of good things about them!

    Nikoleta, xoxo.

I have been enjoying the regular Tatcha rice powder once or twice a week but my skin is a little extra sensitive since I'm seven months pregnant. I bought the travel size of the indigo rice powder and absolutely love it. It still exfoliates but doesn't leave my skin feeling as tight and thirsty.

Ooh good to know! This sounds perfect.

  • Lily Seymour February 25, 2015 at 6:48 pm

Have you spotted that highlighter released in the Guerlain Asia Spring Collection, ColorMeLoud has one shipped to her from a friend in Dubai, it's to die for… trying to get my hands on one!

I got it when I was on KL. It's beautiful.

    • Sabrina February 26, 2015 at 1:43 am

I have not seen it anywhere in the US. I have no idea if we will get it 🙁

  • Eileen February 25, 2015 at 6:50 pm

Last summer I just wasn't in the mood for bronzers or contouring and was happy to simply add a bit of warmth to my complexion via Chanel's Les Beiges Healthy Glow powder. This year, however, I'm eager to try Guerlain's new Terracotta Joli Teint Powder Duo. It comes in four shades and I'm certain to find one that warms my complexion a bit without shouting "Bronzer!" Hopefully, it will be on counter shortly.

    • Sabrina February 26, 2015 at 1:44 am

Hi Eileen, those bronzers look stunning! I've been trying not to google them because I have so much bronzer that I need to use up!

I'm exceptionally interested to hear about the new Le Blanc line!

  • jamie-lee February 25, 2015 at 8:46 pm

I am SO excited for the NARS dual intensity blush. Pretty sure that's what I'll be buying next.

  • michelle February 25, 2015 at 10:32 pm

Can't wait to hear about the NARS blushes♥ and see the Dior nail swatches♥
I CANNOT believe Burberry re-formulated their eyeshadow! I worry about that as I didn't think it could get better…which makes me fear it will be worse:/ I hope I am wrong. Anxious to see/hear about the new wet/dry formula! ☺

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the new Burberry shadows. I have Nude and Gold already, but it is fun to hear what someone else thinks! 🙂

    • Sabrina February 26, 2015 at 1:45 am

Nude and Shell are the best ones. The Gold is also stunning 🙂

  • Jo February 25, 2015 at 10:56 pm

I just ordered the new Shu Uemura eyeshadow palette so I'm looking forward to getting that and, like Eileen, I am eager to see the new Guerlain bronzers. I've seen some pics of Tom Ford summer and am intrigued by what looks like cream blushes – and a new palette in the same vein as the one he released last summer.

    • Sabrina February 26, 2015 at 1:45 am

Oh that palette! I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Shu Uemura 🙂

  • Isabella February 25, 2015 at 11:14 pm

I'm eyeing the bobbi brown cheek palettes! Hopefully they'll arrive in my country soon.
And looking forward to your burberry review 🙂

  • caitlyn February 26, 2015 at 5:20 am

I am really looking forward to your review of the new Chanel Micro Serum! I have been considering it, but I haven't been able to get to a counter to try it out. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on that one! I also look forward to your post about eye creams – so far I've tried three (Shiseido Bio-Performance, Tarte, and Tatcha) and I like the Tatcha one best simply because it isn't greasy. But I can't exactly tell any difference around my eyes…

I can't wait for the NARS blushes! The eye shadows are perfection 🙂 xo Kelly mydazzlelight.blogspot.com

I'm curious about the reformulated Rouge Cocos. My fingers are crossed that you'll do some swatches of 'em! 🙂

  • Jessica February 28, 2015 at 10:58 pm

The Bobbi Brown cheek palettes look divine!

  • Alexandra March 8, 2015 at 11:21 am

I really want to check out Clinique's contouring sticks! I love the chubby stick blushes because they are so easy to use and look natural on the skin and since the contouring craze slowly gets ahold of me I will give them a go 🙂
