I ordered this ahead of it's debut courtesy of the Insider Magazine QVC publishes. The texture is amazing but….. the colors are AWFUL. More to the point, they are off in shade levels. I ordered the lightest shade; I'm a NW10 if MAC made it. The foundation was NW25; so imagine how dark the MEDIUM color is! There is no way his color chart is accurate, I'm sorry. For the price, the color chart should be accurate AND the shades should be fair enough and dark enough for the customer. You have no idea how disappointed I was as I love his products and the texture/coverage is sublime but he really missed the mark with the colors regarding this product.

Sabrina, what color shade did you order for this foundation?

Was sent a sample … still testing, hope to review very soon … preliminary thoughts are that Medium is the best match for me.

Thanks, Sabrina! I was worried because several people on the QVC website were complaining that the two lightest shades were very dark. I'll wait for your swatches!

Anonymous – I tested an extra day, I'm in between shades, Light is slightly too light and Medium is slightly too dark – review in next post with swatches, hope this helps.

The product looks a lot darker in the pots than they do when applied on the face and blended.

      Hope this helps some!

It really does! I'm a little darker than you, Asian heritage. Just wanted to also say your blog is one of my favorites, I always stalk it. I've tried Edward Bess and many products because of your recommendations and you just have amazing taste.

I looked at the ingredient list and the ingredients suggest it looks like it forms a film over your face after you apply it…pretty cool!

In any foundation I have ever used I am a Medium shade. Cannot tell you what MAC number I would be. I ordered light, as the medium looked dark in the photo on qvc, while we know those colors are different on computer screens I just took a guess. Sorry to say the the Light is terrible, at least for me. A yellow/tan color. I applied it with the brush (nothing special, I am sure we all have better brushes but may be added value for QVC customers, also this item is $68, not $75, still costly. I have used Edward's compact foundaton and Guerlain's for two years and they are perfection. I do like the Mousse texture, but honestly looked like a mask on my back. Would't blend, just sat there, and I did not apply too much. So, for those with a medium complextion, beware! Hate spending the $ on shipping to and fro!
I have been happy with all of my many ED purchases, I wanted this to be right!
