Happy Friday! Hope you had a great week. I’ve been busy testing and swatching lots of newness from NARS, Tom Ford Beauty and Laura Mercier which I hope to post soon. In the meantime I have a beauty roundup of some things I’ve been loving right now!
- Glossier Play Niteshine Highlighter Concentrates have been something I’m really impressed with! These are super tiny concentrated highlighters. They recommend applying in a few dots on the cheeks or eyes and blending anywhere you want a highlight. Deep Copper is the prettiest medium copper nude for my skin tone. They have a nice natural dry down and stay put on the skin.
- I’ve been on the hunt for more travel hair brushes and ordered the Aerin Travel Comb and think it’s really nice! It’s a bit spendy for a mini brush but it’s sturdy and works perfectly for my hair type and needs. Aerin Beauty also has matching combs in two sizes and different colors which I think are really beautiful. For those wondering, I still really love the Yves Durif Petite Brush I reviewed a while ago. Just wanted to try another travel friendly option!
- Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize in Rose Gold and Star Gold are now permanent. Right now they’re still only available on her website but should trickle out to other retailers later this spring. If you haven’t checked them out I highly recommend you do.
- Glossier Milky Oil is something I tried while in Miami at the Pop-Up. I was so impressed by how well it removed the eyeliner testers I had to order it immediately. It does a very good job at removing my waterproof mascara (although the Almay Remover Pads are better at removing it faster). I apply it to a cotton pad and let it soak on my eyes for about 5 to 10 seconds and it removes eye makeup really well. You can use this referral link to save 10% off your first order.
- Tom Ford Soleil Blanc is one of my favorite perfumes ever. I’ve worn it for years! It launched in a Travel Size Atomizer (0.3 oz) last year and kept selling out but relaunched this year and is back in stock. I carry this with me everywhere. The pen spray is also available in Tobacco Vanille and Neroli Portofino. The cap is magnetic and stays on really well.
- Slip Beauty Sleep Slipsilk Skinny Hair Ties are my latest obsession for hair. There’s no tugging or pulling with these. They’re stretchy and so far don’t lose their stretch even after a lot of use. So many hair ties end up breaking apart or break/tear my hair. These don’t. They come in a pack of 6 in different color variations.
- NARS Orgasm Oil-Infused Lip Tint is one of the prettiest soft rosy pink lip tints. It will look different on you depending on your lip chemistry like their Orgasm Afterglow Balm. Review on this soon along with the full new Orgasm collection.
- Out of curiosity I ordered The Daily Edited Pale Pink Clear Pouch to see how it compares to my other clear pouches. I really love the design and personalization. The pale pink color is so pretty. I’ll have to test it to see how it holds up but so far I really love the way it looks!
- I bought the Briogeo Farewell Frizz Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant Creme in search for a blow dry product. I’m thoroughly impressed at how smooth it makes my hair with the blow dryer. I have high hopes it will prevent frizz once the humidity returns in Florida. So far I love how it’s lightweight and truly works to smooth the hair without looking greasy. I did not realize that they have an entire Farewell Frizz line and I’m going to look into it this weekend.
- I’m always asked what this brush is when it’s featured in a flatlay and it’s the Laura Mercier Bronzing Brush*. I’ve accumulated so many brushes over the years and this one is my favorite for bronzers. It’s soft, plush, large and applies bronzing powders and mineral baked powders perfectly.

I wore that CT rose gold the other day, I know those little pots are expensive but their formula is just so amazingly beautiful and easy to use. They give my caviar sticks a run for their money.

I am so glad CT Rose Gold and Star Gold are now permanent! I wanted to get them during the holidays but budget constraints meant they weren’t a priority. Now I can get them when I am able! Also I’ve been using those Slip skinny hair ties since about January and I am never going back to anything else! They last sooo long and I’ve found I can even put them in my bra wash bag in the washing machine, hang them out to dry, and they keep their scrunchie-ness which is great!

I’ve been loving the Murad city skin mineral sunscreen for the last 2 years. It was the only sunscreen i used but its $68 and i go through it like water. However recently, I’ve started using the Supergoop mineral sunscreen and I have been loving it as well. I’ve also been obsessed with the Moroccanoil scent. I have been using the body oil (which is great!) and will get the body butter at the Sephora sale.
The glossier highlighters are sooo cute! And of course I love all the makeup pouches! Do you have a separate storage room for all your makeup??

What am *I* loving right now? For me, Organic to Green’s Rose Coco Oil is a skin life-saver. The scent is strong, but i wake up every morning soft and glowing, so definitely worth it. Also adoring Huda Beauty’s Emerald Obsession’s palette. Green is having a very long moment for me. Lime Crime’s matte velvetines in several colours are my favorite lippies right now, but I’m also loving ABH’s liquid lipstick in Pure Hollywood when I want something soft with a sheen. Having discovered Imaginary Author’s perfumes, I am alternating between Cape Heartache, Saint Julep, and City on Fire as my signature scents.
I am loving By Terry Full Cover foundation mixed with the original Dr Jart BB. I love my Hourglass face palette still. And I think I’ll always love Dior mascara, The iconic curl and the original.
I totally went to buy the Slip hair scrunchies because of this post!!! It’s amazing on the hair, it doesn’t tug or pull at all! feels super luxurious!

I was bummed Milky Oil wouldn’t actually remove my mascara (;_;) but I’m definitely more interested in the niteshines and CT cream shadows now, they look so pretty and great year round but especially for summer. I also can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the TDE pouch – funny enough I have always preferred the sharper corners of Truffle’s pouches until I saw your photo – you make it look so so good!

I’m interested in the Briogeo frizz line… I have tons of flyaways that get out of control. I used to use a John Frieda product that was a flyaway tamer (like a mascara wand with product in a tube)… but I don’t know where to turn since it seems to be discontinued.
I’ve really been loving a Mac MSF that I’ve rediscovered. Its LE but I’m loving it.

Right now, I’m loving the Sunday Riley good genes treatment and the Tatcha water cream as they have been the more recent options to my skin care routine. Other than that, love the Chanel rouge allure velvet lipsticks. I always have one in my bag. Also, sort of obsessed with the Chanel les beiges eau de teint so really looking forward to your review!
I kinda wish CT hadn’t named the collection Glowgasm. People may still have compared it to the Nars products due to concept, but the name just makes it inevitable. That said, they do still look pretty.
Right now I’m loving Fenty primer (didn’t think it would work so well on my sometimes drier skin, but it’s turned out to be really nice), OleHenriksen Goodnight Glow Retin-Alt Sleeping Créme, and Ouai Rose Hair and Body Oil. Honourable Mention to my old Dior Addict Fluid Stick in Vie D’Enfer, which I recently found in my stash and have been using quite a bit. I’d forgotten how much I liked those.

The briogeo heat protectant is something I want to try. So far I’ve enjoyed their charcoal exfoliating shampoo.
Tom Ford Soleil Blanc is one of my favorites too! I just started using the Sol De Janeiro Bumbum cream and I love the scent and feel of it – goes great with the Soleil Blanc in my opinion. I am also loving the new Jo Malone Frangipani Cologne – it’s lovely for spring!
My current obsessions include Senka Shiseido Aging Care UV Sunscreen SPF 50, Bumble & Bumble Go Big Treatment, Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation, Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic blush (specifically First Love and Ecstasy), YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in 44 Nude Lavalliere, and Moroccanoil Treatment.

I do like Laura Mercier’s brushes so the bronzing brush is now on my wish list. Tom Ford creates some fabulous fragrances and I must add Soleil Blanc to try as you comment on it frequently. May wait for our Aussie Summer 2019 as it is now cooler weather here.
I am currently loving Mally’s primers especially the neutralising primer as I can get away wearing it without foundation on a good skin day. Algenist liquid foundation has been good for me in light medium as it has sunscreen incorporated in it so I don’t have to add more sunscreen to my face and neck. I am also loving my Gucci lipsticks (I have two – one in red and the other in orange) as the formula is creamy but lasts well and the blue base makes my teeth whiter.

Went and purchased the charlotte tilburry cream eyeshadow in rose gold right after this, it looked dreamy for summer!
Definitely obsessed with the Charlotte Tilbury cream eyeshadows! And those Clossier play niteshine highlighters look so pretty so definitely going to check them out. Also loving the Glow Recipe watermelon juice, the packaging is really pretty and it feels great on skin!
The Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerize are so stunning! I need to try them! I’ve been loving her Hollywood Flawless Filter under tinted moisturizer as my go-to spring face makeup.
I’m loving the Fenty liquid eyeliner, the Hourglass Caution mascara, and the Dyson hair dryer.
In love with L’oreal infallible Fresh Wear foundation as well as the La Mer Fluid foundation, wouldn’t say they are dupes but the formulas of both foundations are insane! I also really enjoy the Origins Honey & Charcoal mask, I have really dry skin and this one works amazing. Also Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter will be my all-time favorite, as well as her new Lightgasm palette!

I love my daily edited clear travel case- have gifted it a couple times too. Olaplex shampoo and conditioner are awesome- rebuying during the Sephora sale. And I just got the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter which has worked really well for me. And her pressed powder!
I love my CT cream shadows so I’m glad they’re coming out with more shades. Can’t wait until Sephora or Nordstrom have them.

I’m really loving (and have gone back to time and time again) the Aesop Moroccan Neroli Post-Shave Lotion as my moisturiser. I’ve tried so many other moisturisers for sensitive skin, but this one just seems to work perfectly for me in the humid weather as it’s soothing and provides enough moisture without feeling tacky.
I’m also currently head over heels for Atelier Cologne’s Cafe Tuberosa perfume. I get compliments every time I wear it! Also loving the Laura Mercier caviar sticks in copper and burnished bronze for a quick eye look, and the Hourglass Caution mascara (doesn’t smudge at all on me!). I’ve also switched to L’occitane deodorants and they’ve been working really well as an alternative to my usual Kopari.

I have heard such great things about those Slip ponytail holders. I really need to try them as my hair has a lot of breakage from traditional hair ties.
I recently ordered the T3 blowdryer, which is amazing, I hope it lasts quite a few years to be worth the price. I also signed up for Beauty Pie and tried three products from them, one of which is their hyaluronic serum, which is very nice. Lastly, Ouai’s Hair Oil is so nice, it’s not too heavy, but it does smooth and hydrate my damaged ends.
I am a big fan of Briogeo hair care. My hair really seems to love it.
