There are so many gorgeous new items launching this spring. It seems to be the season focused on glowing complexions with new foundation formulas, blushes and highlighters. I’m still smitten with the NARS Hot Sand/Laguna Duo (I’ve finally found my holy grail highlight/contour powder duo). I’ve been testing the new NARS Velvet Skin Tint which is slated to launch this Friday on January 15th online at NARS and NARS Boutiques (elsewhere February 1st). First impressions are very good, I’ll have a review posted this Friday with swatches.

Also on the NARS front (they’ve been killing it this spring!) are two palettes. There is an eyeshadow palette called L’Amour Toujours Palette which I’ve been testing. It’s incredible – if you visit the NARS website they’ve done eye swatches of all shades on three skintone which is so helpful. Second, there is a new cheek compact called the NARSissist Cheek Palette which is a Sephora Exclusive. I’m working on swatches right now, I hope to publish by the end of the week.

Diptyque has launched their Valentine’s Day collection early with the new Rosaviola Collection in a collaboration with fashion designer Olympia Le-Tan. The packaging is beyond adorable I can’t wait to see these in person.
For cheeks Hourglass launched their Ambient Lighting Strobe Powders and I’m saying yes to all even before testing or swatching them in person. I hope to check them out at the Hourglass Boutique sometime this weekend as I’ll be in Los Angeles for IMATS. Kat Von D Beauty fans will be thrilled to know she’s launched seven blush duos called Shade + Light Two Tone Blush.

For the glowing complexion, Beautylish just launched some items from Natasha Denona. Her line is new to me, but so far you can customize your own glow kit with items such as primer, foundation, cream highlighter, powder highlighter and body shimmer. I just started testing the Face Glow Foundation in Shade 30 Light Medium which is an amazing cream formula. The color seems to be just slightly too light – I’ll have to do more testing before I can review.
I just posted a roundup on winter skincare focusing on face masks. I’ll be sharing more of my current winter skincare routine in the next couple of weeks including some thoughts on new cleansers – the Kate Somerville Exfolikate Cleanser is really good.
Last but not least, Edward Bess just launched a new lipliner shade called Barely which is my new holy grail nude lipliner. It’s the best nude pink ever made.
I’ll have a foundation review post up soon and some swatches of spring glossy tints from YSL. What’s on your radar right now? Any new discoveries you’d like to share? Spring beauty collections are still trickling in – what do you have your eye on?

  • The Kat Von D blush duos look so good! I'm really glad she came out with more blushes, her old ones were such a good formula. Her formulas have always been really good, especially as of late! Really excited for the Hourglass Strobing Powders, too!

  • Sabrina,

I can't wait for your review on Laura Mercier's Face Glow Foundation. I am in the market for a new foundation, has been using Armani's LSF, has tried different ones but always going back to it, but I am eyeing the new YSL touche Eclat foundation and Chanel's new Le Beige liquid foundation. I have read about the candleglow foundation as well so can't wait to hear your thoughts.

    Cheers,
    Daisy

    • I think I am the only one in the world who does not like Luminous Silk. I am testing the Laura Mercier this week, will let you know.

Foundation is a flung thing isn't it? I am always very curious about the Natasha D. Foundation, there is so much buzz on it. I hope you get a hand on it since I love reading your review

  • The new NARS cheek palette looks amazing, I don't have much NARS blushes so I think I might buy that one. Right now I have my eye on the Tartelette in the bloom palette, the shades are stunning.

    Perfect Shade of Mauve

    • It's a great starter palette and so versatile.

  • I'm all about all these new foundation launches, I'm also excited for Becca's new one.

    • That one sounds amazing, but I'm worried it might be too glowy. Will have to investigate.

  • two Tom Ford products in your image but nothing in the text! ;p i am using the TF cleansing oil and it is very nice. i wonder how the Soleil Blanc shimmering oil differs from last year's release? (which i loved!!!)

    xoxo

    • Hi – I didn't add text on all the items. I will be reviewing the TF Cleansing Oil, still haven't checked out the Soleil Blanc items but will compare if I buy it.

  • The Nars Cheek Palette is available at Space NK uk and is £45. I have it in my shopping bag. RosaViola arrived this morning and is divine. As soon as it Valentines I will light it The packaging is gorgeous and it smells better that RosaMundi & Rosafolia Sabrina I cannot wait for your review on the strobing powders as first impressions is that I want all four but then I read an article by India Night and apparently http://www.delilahcosmetics.com Pure Light – Aura – PURE LIGHT – Illuminating Powder is THE product we all need to try…..knocks Hourglass & Becca's Chanpagne Pop out of the park so I will endeavour to get my hands on this as I will be wanting to try this for sure. Having seen the photos of what Tom Ford has coming over the next month……6 new eye quads, eight Patent lip colour's, eight eye creams, six eye defining pencils, a runway contour palette and a runway lip shine plus the new unisex Private Blend and having also seen pictures of the Summer collection I suggest we might all need to sell a kidney but it all looks like typical Tom Ford gorgeousness without an ombre in sight. And the Dior Diorskin Nude Air Compact Powder 001 Glowing Pink (Pink) / 002 Glowing Nude looks so pretty. Oh and Sabrina my first Nars products arrived yesterday….I chose .Hot Sand / Orgasm Blush Duo & Super Orgasm Lip Gloss so I shall try them out over the next few days. Xxxx

    • I'm really excited you ordered some NARS! I think the new Hourglass Strobing Powders give a lovely glow similar to the Hot Sand Powder, giving them a thorough test drive, hope to have post up this week.

  • OMG!!! So many great products here that I want to try out. But I couldn't for we need to have a big budget for that. Hope to read more reviews on each to be able to decide what to get.

  • There really is lots of gorgeous stuff around and of course this happens when I'm on the buying freeze. In addition to the things mentioned, I'm very excited about the new Chanel Les Beiges and the updated YSL Touche Eclat foundations. And those lip scrub and tint combos from Clinique look very cute.

  • I'm really pumped about the NARS releases too! The names elude me but I'll probably pick up a couple of their spring eyeshadow singles. Super pumped about the velvet skin tint too!

    • NARS has been killing it lately!

  • Since I'm constantly looking for the perfect foundation, I am eagerly anticipating all the new foundation releases. NARS, Laura Mercier and Chanel. Caroline Hirons did a brief review of the new Chanel foundation and it sounds amazing. I can't wait til it lands in the US. I'm also looking forward to the SS16 colors from Tom Ford. There seem to be quite a few more cream color eyeshadow coming out. I also noticed some new quads online that aren't available yet.
