Base and Face Products
I received a couple press samples of the newly revamped Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer but the color they sent Bisque 3W1 seemed a little too dark. It is a very sheer formula and I felt like I could definitely pull it off, but I bought Sand 3N1 in store which seems to be a better match. I’ll keep you posted as I test it some more. It is improved and I like it a lot better than the original (I didn’t really love the original formula).
I also bought two shades of the Fenty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Longwear Foundation in 235 and 240. Even though sequentially 240 should be darker I felt like the warm tones of 235 make it look darker on my skin. I swatched both in store but the lighting isn’t always the best.
I stocked up on another of my holy grail pressed powder Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Finish in Shade 2. The little makeup bag is not from Sephora, but a recent buy. I’ve been getting requests to review the Cuyana Travel Set and compare it to The Daily Edited so I finally bought it. More thoughts to follow but I will say that I’m a little disappointed in the monogram font size. I opted for the small one but it seems too small, especially for the larger bag. The quality of the bag seems really good though.

Makeup
I bought the Anastasia Dipbrow Mini in Medium Brown as an impulse buy at checkout and can’t wait to try it out! The Pat McGrath Lip Pencil in Done Undone is a pencil I actually already had but forgot that I had it so now I have a backup. The Fenty Beauty Match Stix Shimmer Skinsticks launched in new shades and I seriously wanted all of them but picked two Champagne Heist (warm champagne) and Pink Lemonade (shimmery pink). These have a dry texture/finish vs the emollient feel of a cream stick so in my experience they last longer on the skin.

Skin/Hair
For skin/hair I limited myself to a few select picks. I’ve had the worst summer with mosquito bites and my legs are covered in mini bruise-like scars from them. They normally go away with time but the swelling I had from the allergic reaction this season damaged my skin. I bought the Murad Acne Control Post-Acne Spot Lightening Gel to see if it will help and am also going to try the Kate Somerville D-Scar Serum treatment to see if it works.
I’ve been wanting to try the Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence for a while but didn’t want to buy the full size. It now comes in a mini so I bought one to try.
The Inkey List is a newer skincare brand that I’ve been really interested in for the past months. Andrew and I have been so impressed with the Salicylic Acid Cleanser we have already gone through two bottles. I hauled another one and think the entire line is priced really well. It’s worth looking into! They have some really interesting sets.
Both Andrew and I really like the Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Spot Treatment for a Salicylic Acid spot treatment. My holy grail from MAC was discontinued and we spent months searching for a good alternative that wouldn’t turn my skin red. This has 2% Salicylic Acid with a few other ingredients to soothe and absorb oil.
For hair I bought the Olaplex Bonding Oil which I’m really excited to try. I have a wish-list a mile long for shampoos I want to stock up on or try, but I just splurged on some Oribe (not at Sephora). I might restock on some Kerastase but am still debating whether or not to.

Shower Gels
These days I’ve been loving the Dove Body Wash Mousse in Rose for a budget-friendly option but nothing really compares to Fresh Shower Gels. I’ve been obsessed with these for years and wish they still had some of the original scents like their milk ones. These days I love the Fresh Life and Brown Sugar for a clean feel that doesn’t dry out the skin. I stocked up!

Great haul. Have been using the Fresh kombucha essence for a few months and it’s an essential part of my skincare routine, morning and night.
I bought the Olaplex shampoo, Charlotte Tilbury Dancefloor Princess, and reupped on the Nars eye primer!
Most recent purchase was drunk elephant littles set! Looking forward to purchasing and trying Laura Mercier’s new tinted moisturizer.
I love the Fresh Kombucha essence and the Inkey List Salicylic cleanser! I bought the mini sizes of the Olaplex shampoo & conditioner and the Olaplex hair oil. I might go in store today to test out/compare the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and the new Nudestix tinted moisturizer.
Nice haul! My mini haul was Drunk Elephant Hydrating Serum for my daughter and Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer for me. I am a big Laura foundation fan and I do find this product revamp very different from the old one! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts. I also have the Christophe Robin Sea Salt clarifying shampoo in my cart and Alterna Caviar replenishing anti aging Shampoo. Have you tried that Amika Soul Food Mask in your giveaway? My thick coarse hair has been fried in the summer sun so the Sephora Favorites Hair Holy Grails Summer Essentials kit was calling my name. I’ve also been eyeing ROEN BEAUTY’s 52° Cool Eye Shadow Palette. I’m also taking the time to restock on my essentials such as Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter and Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Nude.
I’m trying some newer Hourglass products including their Arch Brow Micro Sculpting Pencil and their Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel. I’m also giving the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Liquid Foundation a go. The linen shade might be my best foundation shade match ever so that’s exciting! I also bought the raved about Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, Tom Ford Emotionproof Eye Color in Casino, Shiseido Microliner Ink in Brown, and then stocked up on some Beauty Blenders and my fave Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo. I wanted much more but…money. 😂

Great picks! I’m definitely interested in trying the Olaplex oil. I picked up the Fenty liquid lip in Uncensored, the Tatcha Silk Canvas primer, and a Bare Minerals blush. I think I might go back and get the Milk Hydro Grip Primer and possibly splurge on a GHD straightener. This sale is dangerous! 🙂

I bought a few of the Kaja trios, which are shimmery but so pretty. I also repurchased the OUAI scrub, which smells divine and I can layer with the Melrose perfume. I also bought another Pillow Talk lipstick and a the Bare Minerals mykonos blush.

I bought some Philosophy stuff and Sunday Riley Retinol Serum. I really wanted some Nars lipsticks and the Chanel hand lotion you’re always using but I resisted.

I love the texture of the bare minerals lipsticks, but the tan nudes are very orange-y. I haven’t found my holy grail lip yet. Still trying to find a nude liner I love. CT is close.
I really enjoy your blog posts! I am so interested in the Fresh products you talked about in this post. The Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence really interests me. (Glad there is smaller size to try, like you, my skin is sensitive.) I picked up the Fresh Rose Hydrating Toner (one with the rose petals inside, full size) earlier and love it. My recent purchase was the Make Up Forever Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder Foundation. I was trying to replace the discontinued Make Up Forever Pro Finish.
I repurchased Biossance Squalane & Vitamin C Rose Oil. I love it and can’t be without it. I also picked up Fenty Gloss Bomb and some Dr. Jart sheet masks.
I got the dark spot patches and am wondering if they work
I got myself a couple of the Touch in Sol sparkle eyshadows and the Natasha Denona Lila. I’m not sure that was such a smart purchase because I feel like her eyeshadows crease and fade on me so badly compared to other brands with a drier formula. I couldn’t resist the sale price, though!
I also picked up the new Guerlain foundation. So far so good!
I just got the new Milk foundation stick, a Sephora Collection foundation brush (pro airbrush #56), and CT Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk.
Have you tried the stick foundation?
I have used it twice so far and I have really liked it! It looks very skin like and is buildable. I also threw it in my purse during the day and it was amazing for touch ups, even patted over powder. The packaging is also very lovely and sleek. The casing is actually metal it seems instead of plastic. So, so far so good! I did have hard time finding my shade, even in store. So I’m glad I went bare faced so I could swatch them on my cheek. But I think I found a great match in the end. I am Y215 in MUFE and I got the shade creme.
I have combo skin btw, but I have read reviews of gals with dry skin loving it as well.
I got the Surratt eyeliner and the new Dermaporr device from Dermaflash to try.

This Sephora sale haul was bright lipsticks and neutral eyeshadows. Bite Beauty, Nars and Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks (with a possible Armani sitting in my basket). Nudesticks, Tilbury and Armani shadows all in cream formula.
Sephora singapore doesn’t have a sale now. But I plan to stock up on Supergoop sunscreens!
I totally missed gay Sephora has a sale event, thanks for the reminder. I wanna see what you feel about the olaplex oil, I have done hair that get super oily within 2 days of washing but the rest of my hair is dry, I wonder if this will be a good product for use. Does it have silicone ?

I haven’t purchased from Sephora Australia but my last beauty purchase was a Lisa Hoffman stack of bracelets with additional perfume beads in Brazilian Begonia that go into the charm attached to the bracelets. Unique way of wearing fragrance.

Just got my order today! I want to start layer a moisture spray before my serum so I got the Mario Badescu Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater mist, and a Clinique Moisture Surge. Also the Ordinary Matrixylk 10% + HA and Foreo’s H2Overdose masks. These are a bit spendy by my skin LOOOOVES them and is so bouncy afterwards!
Didn’t get anything from Sephora but bought some brushes from Beautylish during their summer event. I wanted to try the Surrat brushes but so expensive!

Having never ventured into the sculpting arena, I splurged and bought the Tom Ford shade and illuminate palette, a few of the Pat McGrath and Hourglass lip glosses and the dual ended concealer brushes from Kevin Aucoin and It Cosmetics (for my travel bags). By the way, I own a few things from Cuyana – lovely passport holder and the best, most stylish tee shirts I’ve found at a somewhat reasonable price.
So far, I have only bought the Natasha Denona Bibs palette but there are so many things I want! I am actually intrigued by the new Milk stick foundation. I work for Lancome and I have been using teint idols for a while and I am so tired of it. I really want the Charlotte Tilburg powder too!

This is the third Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer formulation that I’ve experienced since I’ve been aware of the product. First one, excellent – so disappointed when they reformulated it because the second one I didn’t like. Now this one …. I am going to pick it up in Sephora Sale and see if it’s better.
I picked up my staple Dr Jart Cicapair colour correcting cream, a random Sephora brand lash curler (can’t remember which one but it’s rose gold looking) and some new to me hair products- Together Beauty Sugar Wave and Wax Poetic spray.
I like the Fresh Black Tea and Kombucha essence- I’ve got a mini open right now. 🙂
I picked up the new Fenty brow pencil (I love the different brush/spoolie on the end!), the Fenty hydrating foundation, and restocked the Briogeo shampoo and conditioner I love! I might go get a few more things though – the Roen beauty eyeshadows are calling my name. I would love to see you do a blog post on them!
