On My Radar | The Beauty Look Book

I have a roundup of some items on my radar along with a giveaway I’m hosting to celebrate the start of spring! First a quick note that I’ve updated the look of my site with a new design. There will be little tweaks here and there in the next week – but all the loading and mobile issues should be fixed now! If you still have any trouble viewing anything please shoot me an e-mail. For today’s post I have a few things on my radar right now:

  • Madewell Leila Sandals (1) look like the perfect casual spring shoes that will be good for warm weather that have the comfort of flip flops but are a bit more dressy
  • Chanel Cruise Collection for beauty is already live on Chanel.com! I have a few things sitting in my online cart including the Les Beiges Powder (2) in Medium Light, Le Vernis (3) shades in Coralium, Coquillage, Sargasso and Sea Whip, Rouge Coco Stylo (4) in Panorama, will be finalizing my picks later today
  • I’m a sucker for rosy pink sunglasses and these Kate Spade Aviators (5) look so pretty, I’m hoping the frames aren’t too large!
  • Edward Bess has some new things launched on QVC and as a huge fan of his cream highlighters I now have his Harmonious Hues Light Stick Trio (6) on my wishlist, they look perfect for spring to summer
  • Bite Beauty has a cute pink tin set called the Love, Bite Lip Set (7) which looks tempting!
  • Antica Farmacista just launched their Lush Palm Collection and it’s divine! I’m in love with the Lush Palm Diffuser which they sent over and I’ll review it soon (8) but now have the Room Spray (9) on my wishlist
  • RMS Beauty has a new Magic Luminizer (10) which is described as a moonlit champagne, I rediscovered the Solar Eye Polish and fell back in love with it so now of course I’m intrigued by other items from their line
  • MAC Lipglass (11) packaging got a makeover and they added more shades, I’ve accumulated a stockpile of empties for B2M and plan on checking them out later this week
  • NARS has a new Sun Wash Diffusing Bronzer (12) in four shades, I’m curious to see how this compares to their current bronzer, I’ll be waiting to see and test in person before splurging, if you’ve tried this let me know your thoughts!

I use Biolage for color treated hair. It works great too.

I’m currently using Loreal Ever Creme Sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. I really love this stuff – moisturising and it smells nice.

PS: Those shoes look so nice!

The Bite Beauty set is adorable, but I do not like the Multisticks, darn it. Usually I love all things Bite, but the Multistick has so much silica in it that it doesn’t blend well on the cheeks and is super-drying on the lips. I was so disappointed and returned it. But I ended up getting NARS’s Sheer Multiple in Motu Tane (after your review) and absolutely love it, so it all turned out well.

Great post! I love the way you keep us informed about the best new products!

Oh! I will have to keep a lookout for this silica issue. I have dry skin and tend to like creamy things as a result. Let me be smart and play with the Multistick sample I got (the bubble card has Papaya, Biscotti and Cashew) instead of hitting that order button! That’s what they’re there for, after all.

      • Swingtime

That would be smart. I usually love all things Bite, but the Multistick was impossible–would not blend on the cheeks and really dried out my lips. I loved the shade (Biscotti), but was very disappointed and returned it.

    • Hi Swingtime – I’m so behind on getting back to comments but happy to hear you love the NARS Sheer Pop Multiple! xoxo

      • Swingtime

Hey, you’ve got a full plate (especially after your move)–I’m appreciative that you answer comments at all! Anyway, thank you for mentioning that it was a Nordstrom exclusive and probably wouldn’t be at Sephora–I took that seriously and grabbed it. I’m so glad I did! Thanks again, Sabrina!

OMG love you and the contest!!!! I just want to say how thankful I am for your reviews. They always come at the best time. Like just when I am thinking…oh I wonder about this bronzer, or that gloss…up comes your posts! Thank you!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Thanks for another generous giveaway, Sabrina! Love the new design of the blog. Happy spring! ๐Ÿ™‚

Such a great giveaway! I’m loving the Nature’s Gate Persimmon and Rose Geranium shampoo and conditioner right now! ๐ŸŒž

  • Bonnie

I ordered Coralium and Sargasso from the Chanel collection but was tempted by Seawhip too. I’m hoping you’ll post some swatches! ๐Ÿ˜บ

  • Eileen

Thank you for another wonderful give away, Sabrina. You can’t go wrong with a Nordstrom gift card especially since they carry all those heavenly Antica Farmacista diffusers. I buy them by the dozen when they’re on sale so that I can have gorgeous fragrance throughout the house without anything cloying or artificial smelling. They’re one of those products that is well worth the price. I’ve also been discovering their body butters and soaps just lately. Divine! Their Ala Moana transports me to an island escape spa.

I’m really excited about the new Les Beiges powder. I always purchase a new Les Beige powder in #10 in early spring, but this year, I’ve been waiting for the new powder to become available. This time of year, the daylight takes on that soft and sunny glow that makes me put aside my cooler winter shades in favor of the warmer, delicate colors of spring. Les Beiges powder gives me that bit of extra color I desire without looking artificial. I’m also really loving the nail polishes. They’re classic, pretty, springtime shades that will flatter my old hands.

    • Hi Eileen – I adore the diffusers, I will have to try Ala Moana next!

  • Waiyee Cheang

thank you for this giveaway! i have always wanted to try bite beauty, but they don’t have it where i’m from! hello from singapore! ๐Ÿ™‚ xx

  • Sanam Hana

My hair type is frizzy and dry.I always use Dove shampoo and Dove conditioner.

  • To keep my naturally brunette hair bright, icy blonde: Joico Purple Shampoo and the NEW Kenra Intensive Brightening Treatment. It’s incredible – nothing else compares.

  • Joni

Ooh, I like a bunch of this stuff, and didn’t realize the new Chanel was out!
Just a heads up, btw, I can’t seem to click any of the links on the post, at least when I view the page via the facebook link… (it works fine when I’m viewing the site in Safari or Chrome, though!)
Through fb, when I click, it tries to go to the link, but the address bar doesn’t change from beautylookbook, and nothing ever loads; it’s just a white screen.

It very well may be an issue with my own phone/fb, but just in case anyone else is having problems, thought I’d let you know! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for the generous giveaway. That’s a lovely radar list! I am curious about the new Les Beige Powder. I have been on the hunt to creat a beige type of look, did try the original les beige powder but still didn’t look right, can’t wait to check out the new product

  • TheSunnyDay2013 .

    Done it all! Thanks Sabrina.

  • bida

I am very excited to see you swatches on the new Chanel polishes and to hear your thoughts on the Chanel powder. I say this because I never buy a new Chanel polish without your review first. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Hi Bida – sorry it’s taking so long! Was hoping to review them this week but unfortunately will have to push the post out a couple more weeks. Hopefully someone else has swatches up already!

      • Cheryl Parker Smith

I’m looking forward to the Chanel swatches too! I am now an only Chanel polish girl, and I love seeing your posts. Their polish is absolutely the best. I wish I had waited on the Camelia powder until seeing your post as the next similar one had less sparkle. But I know I will use the Camelia and have been just having fun with it.

  • christina07

I like using Pureology shampoo & conditioner. Although I don’t buy it that often because of the pretty high price tag. My hair is naturally a bit wavy and has volume.

  • Anne C

Love the Kate Spade aviator sunglasses!
